Port barrel-aged imperial oatmeal stout
We worked all day and all night to bring you The Night Shift. Our all-new imperial oatmeal stout base is deliciously creamy thanks to copious amounts of malted and flaked oats. After 12 months spent aging in port wine barrels previously used by Woodinville Whiskey Co., this overnight delight boasts vinous notes of caramel and chocolate. Best enjoyed with your boots off and feet kicked up.

750 mL bottle into a teku
Dark brown brew, viscous. Nose is brandy-like with a ton a chocolate notes. Flavors are kind of a mash up of stodgy, porrigy stout, unsweetened cocoa, and grapes. Pretty splashy and disjointed profile. Long, bittersweet finish.

750 ml bottle, 2023 edition, bottled 09/05/23. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around a while. Good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, dark fruit, Port, dark chocolate, and caramel. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt, coffee, oats and dark bready flavors. The Port/dark fruitiness stands out to me but without overpowering the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's rich and a bit slick with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, definitely worth picking up if you get the chance!

Look: deep dark imp stout, some caramel highlights around the edges when held to light.
Smell: creamy port infused caramel.
Taste: like the nose. A slightly bitter finish after initial sweetness.
