On tap

A- pours a clear golden orange color with a creamy white head that retains nicely long after the pour

S- dried hay and lemon peel with some earthy funk aroma, barnyard, grass, spicy rye

T- lots of fruity notes up front with hints of pear, green apple, lemon peel and peach. Big tart puckering notes of sour grapes kick in mid-palate, leading to a bone dry earthy and sour finish

M- medium my body with light carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and a crisp bone dry finish

O-probably the best American made gueuze that I've had, definitely worth a try

A - Only slightly murky copper, not much head, not much lace. Still looks pretty inviting.

S - Tart apples and malt.

T - Low malt, BIG tartness, very clean at end.

M - Medium to light body, good carb and balance. Nice tangy dry finish.

D - Great beer. I like it.

On-tap 12/31/2014 at Doherty’s Ale House in Warwick, RI, served in a snifter glass.

A: The beer is a light yellow color, with a large dense white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains strong esters, sour fruit and very light malts.

T: The taste starts out with a huge burst of sourness along with some tart fruit flavors, esters and a very light malt character. There’s a very good balance for a beer with such a strong sourness to it. The after-taste is tart.

M: Smooth and very crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean and dry.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, very good representation of style, this is a very good beer to drink when you want a nice sour bomb.
