Review #1500
2015 Vintage
750ml bottle poured into a tulip

A- pours a hazy amber peach color with a small foamy white head that eventually disappears completely

S- lemon acidity up front mixes with plenty of stone fruit, with notes of juicy peach, even a bit of apricot, followed by hints of orange peel & pineapple. Peppery rye pokes through the fruity notes, along with just a hint of malt sweetness

T- big hit of juicy peach up front with similarities of apricot, as in the aroma. Medium acidity at the mid-palate brings notes of lemon peel and earthy musk. The finish gives notes of new oak, spicy and peppery rye compliments more peach flesh flavor on the linger

M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy, acidic mouthfeel and a dry, puckering finish

O- plenty of peach notes throughout compliments the spiciness of the rye and makes a delicious sipper

2015 Batch

A: Poured into an oversized wine glass to a nice light orange topped by a finger and a half of dense off white head that fades to a small collar around the edge of the glass
S: Smells of funk, oak, sourness and peaches. My nose has gotten a bit of a workout today
T: taste is peaches, nice sourness, some nice funk and oak, and some spicy rye. Swallow is more sourness and peaches with a little lingering oak and funk
M: Medium in the mouth with slightly prickly carbonation and a drying finish
O: A very nice beer. Great fruit flavors add another layer to an already outstanding beer. Definitely happy I grabbed my entire allocation as this one is a pleasure to drink.
