Another Bruery split with rudzud.

Nice thick creamy off-white head hits 1 finger then fades at a med pace with lots of wispy lacing, super dark murky cola brown color.

Nose is tons of bourbon and barrel, nice bourbon sweetness, then tons of vanilla barrel, toasty oak, hint of coconut, cereal grains, sweet caramel malts, light toffee and molasses, hint of nutty fruit, light earthy herbal grassy hops, mild warming booze, hint nutty and dark fruit.

Taste sweet candy malts, toffee and caramel, butterscotch light, light toasty malts, hint grainy, lots of caramel and light toffee. Mostly bourbon though, nice sweet candy bourbon, toasted vanilla oak, hint coconut oak too, Hint of warming booze, warmth. Then light spicy hops, little earthy, chewy, light candy syrup and toffee. Finish is semi sweet, little syrupy, candy, caramel, some earthy spicy hop, tons more bourbon lingering, more oak too.

Mouth is full bod, thick, lighter but decent carb, light warming booze.

Overall quite nice. Good malt character, although could have used a bit more complexity, nice hop character for an English barleywine, booze is hidden well, nice bourbon barrel characters, all around decent beer.

nearly 2 years old, this was exceptionally smooth, full of barrel character and gorgeously blended caramel, toffee, brown sugar notes, and not overly sweet. Excellent beer

Pours into a small tulip glass a menacing looking murky burnt orange infused brown with a thick creamy light beige head atop that clings to the glass like glue.Mild bourbon infused with brown sugar in the nose, the vanilla tinged bourbon isn't to overbearing, you can tell it's a malt bomb though no doubt.A full creamy feel is just spot on,fantastic.Bourbon and toasted oak on the palate, just really fresh. The caramel and vanilla stand out more as I drink more and as it warms,a warming sipper.Underrated in my humble opinion, this is a fantastic English style barley wine.

In an improvised snifter the beer was ruby red in color with a small tan head.
Aroma of biscuit and caramel, burnt sugar. Oak.
Caramel and toffee taste. Biscuit. Vanilla. A hint of alcohol.
The flavors married well. Not a lot of evidence of the 12.5% ABV.
A beautiful beer!
