This beer appears a very dark clear brown colour, with one finger of creamy beige head, which leaves a solid thin wall of lace around the glass. It smells of roasted malt, and creamy milk chocolate. The taste is soft chocolate malt, a bit of lactose, and very soft earthy hops. The carbonation is very low, the body smooth, slick, and creamy, and it finishes off-dry, the dry chocolate holding true through the end.

A very enjoyable, sultry stout. More, please.

Thanks to Smoked for sharing this growler. Poured into a snifter, the brew appears a very dark brown to black with brown clarity being seen through the edges. A scarce amount of bubbles form across the top failing to produce a head outside of a thin film. When held to the light, some reddish hues are seen through the body.

The smell of this brew is dark and roasted to almost charcoal. Very deep and dark roasted grain quality fills the nose with some musty coffee and semi-sweet chocolate. Not like a milk chocolate but more of a very roasted bakers cocoa of sorts. Nice aroma on this brew all together.

The taste is semi-sweet chocolate, bitter roasted grain with a bit of fresh oats thrown in as well. A little bit of coffee and cocoa as well. There is a long lasting aftertaste of chocolate. Seemingly no hop inclusion or alcohol is evident throughout this brew which is quite enjoyable.

This is a medium bodied brew with a very low level of carbonation. Very easy drinking despite. It's a shame that this growler didn't transport from Montana very well. With more carbonation this would have been fantastic. As-is it was still a quality brew, thank you Dan for sharing!

A - Black with a half finger of creamy light brown head. Good retention. Looks like it might be nitro, but that was not advertised.

S - Chocolate, roast and sweet brown sugar .

T - Roast, semi sweet chocolate, brown sugar and hints of bitter espresso and molasses. A nice overall flavour profile.

M - Medium body. Creamy. Light carbonation. Seems to have hte mouth feel of a nitro beer.

I had this beer on nitro in a pint glass at the Missoula taproom.

Appearance: black body with a finger of creamy tan foam. Very nice.

Smell: lightly sweet with a nice dry roasty element. A very nice dry stout.

Taste: roasty and smooth with a dash of sweetness. It's almost more porter-ey.

Mouthfeel: medium body with s decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: somewhat more of s Porter than a stout, but still not half bad.

Poured into a 16oz glass, take your time with this one and watch the bubbles appear to sink into the glass. Has a wonderful rich head little sticky but looks great.

Aroma- Nice tones of chocolate and roasted grains.

Taste-So smooth this beer places a smile on your face and actually makes you grow a beard and become a viking. It has the great flavors of chocolate and the dark roasted grains just in the background.

Overall an experience that needs to be had in at the Tamarack!

Appearance- super smooth cascading head of light tan hue, black and dark brown around the edges, mesmerizing

Smell- toasted coffee and dark malt, not much in hops

Taste- roasted bitterness with coffee and chocolate notes, dry and slightly astringent finish

Mouthfeel- super smooth, quick fade and finish

Overall- great stout that's a bit more character than a dry but not overly bold

Appearance - had a 1 finger head, tan in color. That faded away within a few minutes. Lacing does stick around. The color is a really dark brown to black.

Smell - roasted malts, coffee

Taste - chocolate, roasted malt

Mouthfeel - to me it's a bit o bit watery, but the first few sips before the head fades away, it is very silky smooth.
