6 pack cans from Safeway in West Salem OR
$8.49
Pours a nice clear golden colour with a wispy white bubbly head.good lace.
Nice strong aromas of grassy/floral hops and crmel malt, nice stuff.
Taste similar maybe a tad too sweet for a traditional pils..but good none-the -less.
Nice well maintained mouth feel pretty solid..maybe a bit cloying at the very end.
OK lager..drinkable but far from the best

This is a hazy yellow-gold color with a thin head. The aroma is fruity, grassy, florally hoppy, and pungent. The taste is sweet with a spicy hop note. Carbonation adds to the bite. It is not at all what I would call a pilsner, but it is tastey and enjoyable. Full in body.

Bottled May 24th. It pours a clear straw yellow with a nice long lasting head of foam. Dry hopped dankness going on. Grassy, pungent, I get some bread beneath them hops. Grassy hops, bread, no doubt aboot dry hopping as it’s in your face in the taste as well as the smell. I have to say that the smell interested me more than the taste. Good mouthfeel, the carbonation seems to be on the lower end. Pretty good.

Draft at tavern Northborough
Big creamy foamy head, decent retention and lacing, clear watery straw color
Nose grassy fruity lemony notes, weird fruity cereal, floral earthy, cereal grains
Taste grassy earthy but a weird fruity like fruity pebbles, cereal grains little light malt, very light in general with herbal spicy earthy hops late, drier crisp lager finish
Mouth is lighter bod, decent carb
overall a weird pilsner, not offensive but strange

Citra pilsner on a hot day? Sign me up. 22oz bottle dated 12jun2017. Straw yellow in color with moderate thick white head. Aroma has a bit of the familiar tropical fruit, and definitely suggests dry hopped IPA more than lager. Flavor is juicy, with mango and pineapple flavors present first up front, and then coating my palate. This beer is juicy and sweet. There's very little in the way of IBUs here (28), and the malt tastes very sweet, making for an almost shandy-like profile. This has neither the dryness of an ale nor the crispness of a lager. What is has is the residual malt of American lager, combined with distinctly tasty, but out of place, hops. Very interesting, but very not going to try it again. Then again, alcopop has it's place, I guess.

The can says "Drink Outside" so in compliance with the label directions we are doing so on a late Sept. afternoon. Pour is a very light straw color, some head and lacing. Light aroma of the Citra hops provides a whiff of citrus and fruit. A very smooth, hideously drinkable beer. Light carbonation that persists to the bottom of the glass -- which is achieved rather quickly. We'll be seeking this out next summer.

The reviews of this amaze me... it is a hoppy Pilsner and is very well executed for what it is. It's not a traditional Pilsner nor is it an IPA. Just a small amount of malt presence, zero lager off flavors, and great balanced Hop aroma and my bottle was bottled almost three months ago. I just drank a King Sue I purchased at the Brewery one month ago and has been cold ever since. It doesn't have the aroma that this Pilsner from 3 months ago has. I would buy this all the time if it was available near me on a regular basis.

Pours a cloudy and hazy straw color, a moderate frothy head with good retention. The carbonation is visible.
Surprised by how citrusy the aroma is. Very hops forward with orange zest, lemon and herbal dank that is IPA like.
Even more surprised by the taste, which is not only citrusy, but also juicy and sweet. Flavors of orange, pear and papaya contribute to an odd mesh of fruity sweetness. There is some peppery bitterness, but it is quite minimal and doesn’t provide so much balance.
First impressions are that this is more of an IPL considering how hoppy it is and for its light lager body. However, although it has a certain crispness to it, it seems to lack the dryness of a true pils. Neither an IPA, Pilsner, or IPL, perhaps they are stretching for a new style? A New England IPL? I’m all for American brewers pushing the boundaries and am not so rigid about style, however, I’m not sure they got this right.
