Notes:
A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA.

A- Beer is nice and golden reddish orangish amber color with a thick two finger head that is very clingy and sticky.
S- Big grapefruit smell in the nose, not so much pine but some lemon, perhaps Buddhas hand zest. There is a slight ginger and gin smell too.
T- The taste has a big malt presence that helps the hop flavor. Bready and roasty come though the flavor. The hops are grapefruity and clean with a nice wonderful spruce tip taste to it. Solid brew.
M- Thick to medium body in the feel.
D- Very easy to drink, this is a well rounded brew.

I got a couple bottles of this beer from a mixed 12pck that I bought from Albertsons in Boise, Idaho. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had bitter citrus and pine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter pine resin and bitter citrus highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Encore review on 1/18/21, can dated 2/28/21
Buy this beer fresh, roll up your socks citrusy hop aroma and flavor (yes!)
12 oz can into tulip glass on 12/14/20
Two days before the best by date printed on the bottom of the can
L: Golden mandarin orange, unfiltered, delicate beer foam floating on the top
S: Piney, citrusy, toasted malts, complex dank notes
T: This where the beer shines, plenty of mango followed by a solid malt backbone. Nice finish, slightly bitter, with savory toasted malts
F: Medium body, crisp, clean
O: This is a solid IPA

Deep gold or pale amber color. So so clarity with a hop haze. Poured big white head with good retention.
Big pine aroma, rich caramel malt, pineapple and grapefruit. Healthy citrus notes
Big hop flavor with pine and grapefruit. Healthy malt backbone. Has assertive but not overpowering bitterness. Slight bit of alcohol flavor?
Medium body and carbonation. A bit of alcohol warming.

A refreshingly bitter, piney IPA that has enough toasty malt backing to make it side down wet and juicy while still finishing rather dry.
Looks amazing in the glass—brown, bronze but with the shine of the classic IPA variety.
Hops are piney, orange and grapefruit with a lot of funky, danky bitterness.
A great west coast IPA and I will drink more. Not a summer beach ipa for me, a night time sipper.

Decent IPA but not that well balanced. Looks really great, pours a deeper orange-yellow color with loads of fluffy white head and sheets of lingering lacing with fine bubbles. Aromas of malt, caramel, faint fruity and herbal hops and bread. Tastes similarly, but there’s just too much malt and the mild sweetness just overpowers any potential bitterness. Seems to be some muddled lemon, grapefruit and orange fruity hops but they’re tough to distinguish. Smooth, mild mouthfeel and good carbonation. All in all, a decent beer, just not as well balanced as I was expecting.

12 oz bottle from the government store. Look: clear gold with a very small white head that settles quickly. Aroma: malt, grass, tropical fruit. Taste: bitter hops up front, then some malty sweetness, then a bitter finish. Pretty good. Not a hop monster, that’s a good thing IMO.

Hazy gold with decent head. Almost tart smell with citrus and other fruit with pine. Citrus is dominant in the hop flavor (grapefruit and orange), almost more real fruit than hop citrus. Balanced by a nice toasty malt. A little on the bitter side for a neipa, but it's a very clean bitterness. Drier.
