Pours very dark brown with a good two fingers of light tan head. Head has staying power and lacing follows the head down the glass. Very nice appearance.
Smell is my weak point. I have a tough time picking out the various components in the aroma. I will just say there is plenty of it. Floral, citrus, and sweet malts.
Taste is bitter citrus some resin, malts sweetness takes the edge off the hop punch. Quite balanced for an IPA. Makes for a smooth drinker.
Mouthfeel is almost Porter like in the medium to full body. Carbonation is just enough.
Overall an easy drinking IPA that finishes slightly dry and still the malts battle back. Long finish. Nice beer and alcohol is well hidden.

Paid $2 at Brewforia Meridian for the 12oz bottle. Pillowy 2+ finger tan head... the brew is walnut with good clarity.

Aroma is nice... A good balanced mix between piney/pithy grapefruit hoppiness and sorta nutty and dark toasty maltiness... Not really getting any cocoa/chocolate qualities.. pretty interesting.

Flavor is a damn solid PNW hoppy brown ale... hop profile mirrors the nose.... good bitter bite is tempered by the bigger/diverse maltiness... the finish lingers forever ping-ponging back and forth between citrus/resinous pine and a subtle sweet nutty maltiness.

Body is medium/light... small bubble carbonation lends to a bit of a creamy mouthfeel.

4.5's across the board... Probably the best American Brown (Brown India Pale Ale ;-) I have ever had.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a dark mahogany brown with a fine, two finger light tan head with great retention and chunky lacing. Aroma of light toasted malt and fresh citrus hops. Flavor of somewhat nutty toasted malt and citrus and piney hops, nice fresh resinous hop flavors. Excellent creamy medium to heavy bodied. Flavor seems a bit subdued on first taste, but the somewhat subtle toasted and biscuit malt and citrus bring out and support the fresh hop flavors. Mellow and pleasant. This is the third out of four really nicely made IPA style ales from the experimental pack. Sorry I have only one to go.

A: Pours a nice dark brown with a very very light brown head. Big fluffy head at that. Head sticks around forever, refuses to fade away. Solid walls of lacing and awesome head retention.

S: Lots of juicy, sweet tropical fruits. Grapefruit and resin follows. A little bit of toast and nuts but mostly overpowered by the hops.

T: Oh man, super juicy tropical fruits and grapefruit. Lots of mango, passionfruit, pineapple even? Oranges in there with grapefruit too. A little bit of toasted bread in the middle. Resinous hops in the finish as well. More toast in the aftertaste with just a little bit of roasted nuts.

M: Smooth, smooth smooth and medium bodied. Goes down like water.

O: I'm really digging these 10 barrel hop projects. The hops are like having fresh squeezed juice all up in your face. Never really had a beer that could accomplish that effect quite like 10 barrel has. This is another delicious one to add to the list. One more to go, wheat ipa coming up soon!

Poured into my large Gulden Draak tulip, Hop Project #37 is light brown with an off-white head leaving sticky foamy lace.

Smell is pungent, dank hops, big cat piss, pine resin. Some tropical fruit notes as well.

Taste is big resiny hop flavors with very nicely balanced toffee malt . A hint of iced coffee. Fairly bitter, minerality.

Mouthfeel is dry, well carbonated,medium-light bodied.

Drinkability is high, a great hoppy brown. The 10 Barrel Hop Projects are very well done.
