Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.50%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Atlas India Pale Ale is an ale with strength and character worthy of its name. Pale and caramel maltings of American two-row barley give Atlas IPA a malty backbone to support its noticeable, but not overpowering, hoppy flavor and aroma. Columbus, Amarillo, and Cascade hops are harmoniously blended together, bringing about floral and earthy tones which highlight this bold but delicious ale.

Definitely not a pale ale. Way too malty for a pale ale. Darker color indicates a lot of malt and the taste follows suit. Reminds me more of a dunkel than anything else. Little to no hops. I would not recommend this to a pale ale purist or anyone who likes a west coast pale ale.

A - a little dark for an IPA a deep orange brown

S - not too much aroma, musty floral hops and sweet smelling malt

T - a little bit of hop bitterness up front finishes just a little too sweet at the end. Notes of citrus, pine, caramel sweetness

M - on the thick and sticky side for an IPA which actually helps to bring out a bit extra bitterness

O - Had on top at the MAYO in Tulsa multiethnic times throughout the weekend. Honestly just a completely average IPA IMO. Everything was there but nothing stuck out. Very drinkable but there was a little too much sweetness for my taste. But honestly I would have drank anything to escape drinking 3.2 beer gross
