Marshall's newest seasonal beer the Arrowhead Pale Ale, is currently featured on cask at McNellie's pub in Tulsa. Like all of Marshall's beers, having the Arrowhead on cask is a totally different and unique experience when compared to having the same beer in the bottle.
The beautiful orange hue and rich fruity aroma of the beer could take you off guard, especially if you're not familiar with this particular beer at all. When comparing the cask version of the Arrowhead with the bottle or keg version, the lack of overwhelming hops that dominates the bottle version is interestingly more subdued. Without the overbearing bitterness, the underlying flavors of the beer open up beautifully. Grapefruit, pine and ginger are some of the most prominent flavors that dance harmoniously on the palette.
Having a pint of Arrowhead Pale Ale on cask is a wonderful beer that offers an exciting alternative to the beer's somewhat over-hopped bottled counterpart. Tulsa area beer lovers should not miss this opportunity.

12 fl oz can ran me $1.66 USD plus tax at a beer store in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"Pale ale." 5.2% ABV.
Hop profile is fine. Beer overall is nothing special, but it's drinkable.

Pours a hazy, copper color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and good lacing. Smells of citrus hops, slight floral hops, sweet malt, and a hint of caramel malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, slight floral hops, sweet malt, and a hint of caramel malt. Overall, decent appearance, aroma, and body, but average at best.

Just what i want when i buy a pale ale, a 5% beer with the malt content of a double ipa. Is this a joke. Im astonished on how this is even passable as a pale ale. Overall its ok. not much aroma, lots of malt, not a great hop bitterness. Meh

This is a really good beer with an incredible nose of fruit and flowers. The flavor is a little off to me though. I get this weird skunking on the finish.
