The WALLMART of Tap Rooms.

Las Vegas, Just before Christmas (2008) The whole town is slower then normal due to the economy. I went here as a last minute decision to get out a town for Christmas (to cold).

One decision was a place to get decent beer. Or so I thought.

The Yard House claims to have the worlds largest selection of draft beer. It may, with well over 100 beers on draft, maybe 200.

That is nice, but the place is not a dream come true, to a real beer lover. As it has no soul, it has no vibe, it looks nice, like something you would expect in Vegas, glitzy and boring. The food and service were excellent though and I really enjoyed the food I ate The beer tenders were responsive and did a good job. My fault with the place is it has no soul. Sure they play rock and roll, and put on Monday night football, that may be the problem. It cant decide to be a sports bar or beer bar, and caters to thous who don't care.

The taps though plenty had few surprises, few rare beers and all served in the same glassware. They have no wall mounted beer menu, you have to keep asking for the beer list and there is no attempt to bracket the beers by style.

I like a list on the wall, that maybe shows beer by type, or at least company, country. The lists is the menu and it disappears like a state secret once you order.

No information on the beer itself, as if you should know what your ordering. This is the Wallmart or Costco of tap rooms. They do have beer mixes, not my style as I find the whole mixing beer appalling. The selection of American Craft beers is limited to only a few brands. This is probably due to the fact that this place is all about volume, speed and money.

Give me the Toronado in San Francisco, that place has soul, that place is a beer mans house of joy.

The Yardhouse, a Fraternity hangout for people who don't know much about beer but like to pretend they do.

When you pour mixed drinks, wine and bud, how can you be a place for real beer. No Firkins, no bottles, no soul.

Sure I will go back, I liked the food and service I found decent beers, but only as there are few alternatives here. When I am back in San Francisco, I will hug the bar tender at the Toronado.

Visited this place in 2014, very nice selection of brews, but expensive. A pretty big/nice place had some music playing. The food was pretty good as well. Lot's of kids in the place that night. Did not get any food, but saw plates coming out of the kitchen that looked pretty good.

They had a great menu, but unfortunately the first 4 items we ordered they were out of. They told us they were in the process of updating the beer menu so it was just bad timing for us. Still we had good beers and the food was incredible. Don't leave without trying the ala cart taco's. We had one of each and they were all fresh and delicious. Even the kids food was really good.

We will definitely go back next time we are in Vegas.

This was the least favorite of the three locations in Vegas that I visited during a recent trip. It was crowded, had a din and didn't have the vibe of the other two locations.

(Visited 08/2011): This Yard House location is in the relatively new Town Square mall on the south side off 15/215. Parking is plentiful all around.

The interior is laid out similarly to other Yard House locations, with the circular bar right in the center. The rest of the space features dark wood with booths and tables. TVs are plentiful behind the bar, lending to an upscale sports bar feel.

Yard House's tap list exceeds 100, with many regional craft brewers represented, such as Firestone Walker (who provides the "Yard House" brand beers), Tenaya Creek, Deschutes and Stone. The bottle selection is pretty much nonexistent.

Service at the bar was friendly as the bartenders use a tag team approach. They were all friendly and kept up with sample requests and refills.

Food at Yard House is consistently good. My colleagues and I shared several appetizers and they were all solid.

Overall you know what you are going to get with Yard House, which is both a positive and a negative. While the beer list is dominated by common and/or bland macros, you can always count on finding something good. Worth a stop for anyone visiting the area.

Went with a group from our company while in town. The keg room is the first thing you notice when entering. Kegs upon kegs upon kegs packed into this room! They stated they had 147 beers to choose from. Almost a little overwhelming and more choices than you need. Most of the beers were nothing special, almost all year round beers. But if your in town, a good selection of beers in the area.

The food was really good. Had the nights special of Mahi-Mahi. The table got some deserts, one was a framboise float. Interesting desert. Service was ok, they were pretty busy that night. Our waitress was pretty knowledgeable on the beer selection and quick with recommendations.

Nice place to go and hang out for drinks and dinner. If your tired of the strip, the Yard House and Town Square are a nice change of pace.

I've been there over 20 times. The food is good and they have a lot of beers on tap. My one complaint is its all stuff you can find other places. The atmosphere is good and the food is good too. I would recommend if you have never been to a yard house to go there instead. If you have been to one then you will not be impressed by the beer selection - all in all I have a pretty good experience there when i go. It can be hard to find parking at night its next to 3 nightclubs. So i would suggest going during the day.

Located about 100 yards from the Whole Foods Market in the byzantine Town Square shopping center on the south end of the Strip, about 1.5 miles from the airport, Yard House was a nice lunch stop after a quick beer shopping stop at WF.

The place is big, with a huge oval bar in the center and lots of tables all around. Very much a corporate sports bar feel with TVs everywhere. Not bad.

Tap selection is huge, with about 140 or so taps. Most everything is craft, which is quite impressive. Nothing too "special" from the gargantuan list, but I am happy to be able to grab a Union Jack anytime, any place so I was happy.

My cajun chicken sandwich was sold, though not spectacular. Service was perfectly pleasant. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Visited the Yard House for dinner on a Thursday evening. The location is through the winding drives of the Town Square shopping center south of the Vegas strip. (Wait for a cab was short afterwards)

Walking towards the door, windows displayed the dozens and dozens of kegs being dispensed. The general appearance was clean and cool. Inside, the large rectangular bar centered the room. Metal and brick gives the room a modern, industrial feel. Commercial and sturdy.

We stopped at the hostess stand and were quickly seated. We were handed menus and began the selection process. The beer menu and the food menu are both long, so it may take a little time to decide. There was a wide range of bar fare. Pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and vegetarian fare were listed. I eventually choose the pepper crusted gorgonzola burger with truffle fries, and it was tasty.

With over one hundred beers to choose from, one would expect to be amazed, but I was hoping for something more. I wanted to see some more uncommon choices. I wanted casks and really special seasonals. Am I jaded? (I did enjoy my Dechutes Black Butte)

Service was slow. When we first sat down, we ordered water, but hadn't picked our beer yet. Our waters were dropped off, and pretty well drained before we make our order. Our food also came slowly. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't as hot as it should have been.

I'd say Yard House is solid, but I wouldn't make a special trip here. (especially by cab)

Came here after the giant disappointment that is Aces & Ales. Say what you want about it being a chain - that pretty much guarantees a ton of fresh taps and consistent service.
Like most other locations, this one has literally about 100 taps, and as expected about 90% of them are good, and about 30% of those are full-on stellar. Everything from everyday items like SNPA and Sam Adams to Rogue Hazelnut, DFH 90 Minute IPA, Spaten Optimator, Arrogant Bastard, and several St. Bernardus brews. Prices are fairly low, too. Especially considering what beer tends to go for on the strip. These are pretty much "normal" prices for the rest of the country. Have a macro-loving friend? A quick glance reveals options for those folks, too.
Not exactly the most fun place to hang-out ever (it looks like any other restaurant), but there's nothing overtly wrong with it either.
Food's pretty good, and the service was quick. We ordered 7 different beers and all of them were back at the table in less than 2 minutes. We simply ordered some snack appetizers (you're in Vegas - there are better places to eat, obviously) and they were tasty, reasonably priced, and out in minutes.
This is a great alternative to the many places on the strip with so-so beer selection at inflated prices. Take a quick cab south of Mandalay Bay and hit this place up for a great selection, service, prices, etc.

I heard about this place from a waitress in Planet Hollywood.

About a ten minute drive south of the strip in an outdoor mall. Took a bit to find it.

Walked in the doorway and off to the left is a hallway with rows and rows of kegs. The atmosphere is pretty modern and trendy. A lot of dark colors and metal. A huge bar in the middle with two towers that a wrapped with tap handles. Claim to have the largest selection at 160 but I'd say it was closer to 100 but still impressive.

Food was probably a bit of a step from average pub food. Pretty solid.

Service was solid. The waitress was there the second our glass was close to empty and had a pretty good knowledge of the beer she was serving.

Price was pretty reasonable compared that to the prices on the strip.

Visited this establishment on the advice of a bartender at Pour 21 in NY NY.

Yard house has more of a night club/20 something vibe than an ale house. So if your ok with loud music, pretty girls and lots of beer on tap venture off the strip and check it out, if not try the Burger Bar.

They have at least a 100 different beers on tap. Include 4 house beers and many main stream and non-main stream selection, from Coors Lt to Dog Fish Head to Chimay.

Food could be consider the norm for a bar of this type, but very good at that.

Wait staff know there beers and is more than willing to help you decide on a beer that fits your tastes.

A - Loud and bustling inside. Music was too loud in the dining room for comfortable conversation. Quiet and relaxing outside after dark. Beautiful weather (of course).

Q - I got Gulden Draak on tap. It was served in a goblet at a good temperature. Beer seemed fresh and well kept, but the carbonation was too low.

Service - Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Took my server's suggestion for the jambalaya as "a great dish, just not traditional jambalaya." Perfect description and I agree.

Selection - Claim to have world's largest draft beer selection. Could be, but much of it is mainstream. The night I was there the waitress said they had 147 out of 160 taps going.

F - Food selection was extensive and reasonably priced. The quality, taste and presentation of the food I saw was impeccable. Truly impressive.

V - The beer and food was a little expensive, but not out of line for Vegas.

Overall, a good beer and food experience in a town where Bud Light Lime is considered a specialty beer.

We dont have much for great places to grab a brew so I'll take it where I can get it. Yeah, I am not much for chains, but this one I think deserves some kudos for carrying such a variety which is not a possibility for many mom n pop stops. Yeah nothing there is quite rare on tap, but it is a wide selection...I guess for some of the" beer elite" they wont be impressed, but to me the amount on tap is something to be happy about.

It doesn't have the charm of a neighborhood bar, but makes up in selection and surrounding attractions. Sometimes too, its a plus for us that this is not just a beer bar. It's some place that we can take our folks, it's a place we can meet up with friends who have kids for lunch who dont really like beers, but everyone can leave happy with their wide variety of foods. Prices are reasonable compared to the strip, but I mostly come to the Happy Hour to get a great deal. I love that they do reverse happy hours for late night/swing shift people like us who never get to partake on the usual 5-7 kind of hours.

The Yard House is a beer bar in an upscale shopping mall at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Very large, there are about 50 booths around the perimeter and about 50 more tables surrounding the very large bar. There is also an outdoor area. The center pieces of the bar are the two beer tap towers, each with 80 taps. Lots of beer !! But actually nothing special or unique. Make a list of the most popular beers in the world; imports, macros, and micros. This list is what they serve. A caveat: The tapped kegs are in a small, glassed in room up front on the way to the rest rooms. Some of the lines from the kegs to the taps are probably over 100 feet long.

I travel to Las vegas twice a year for sales meetings and conventions. I do not gamble so dining out with friends and colleagues has become my favorite activity.

There are countless good restaurants in Vegas, but except for the Burger Bar at Mandalay, there are really few good places for beer. Sure there's Gordon Biersch and some German place, but they have a very limited selection.

When I heard that the Yard House was coming to Las Vegas, and it was situated right down the block from Mandalay, I knew that I had to go and try it out.

It has been two years and four trips now and the Yard House has become my favorite place to go in Vegas. I always go during the week for happy hour, and we load up on half price beer and appetizers. All the food is good. All the beers are good. All the servers are good.

This last trip, we sat in a booth (5 of us) and ate and drank for over two hours and the bill was under $100.00.

A great value, and a fine beer selection.

For others who live for matching glassware, I enjoy it to. But if I have a choice of drinking a Chimay in a Chimay glass for $7, or in a generic goblet for $3.50 and it is exactly the same beer, I can live without the matching glassware!

Don't be a snob and miss out on this place. Also, stay away from the Freakin' Frog. They have matching glassware but they suck.

Well worth a visit to this relatively new bar in "Town Square" a mile or so South of the strip.
The Deuce bus stops outside the square which is handy if you want to sample a few beers.

On entry I was amazed at the selection of beer, the taps are lined up all around a central alcove to the bar, there is at least 160 I believe.

We were a little dissappointed to be told that the sampler choice was only 2 lists of 6 pre chosen beers. Nevertheless we went for them and found the quality excellent.

We also tried the chicken wings which were excellent.

Highly recommended, just a shame we didn't have longer to visit a few more times!

What can I say? My second Yardhouse location and this one did not disappoint. The tortilla soup was just as good (best I've had anywhere) and the burger I had was outstanding.

A bit off the beaten path from the strip, but worth a cab ride for the beer selection alone. I had a very fresh Ruination, and a SN Anniversary. Ordered an Old Rasputin at one point but received something that was not even close. Server graciously took it back.

Town Square area is a decent place to stroll around while you are out there.

Finally had the chance to check this place out after have moved to Las Vegas a month ago. First impression was pretty great a truth window showing all the kegs was pretty awesome.

Happened to sit down at the start of happy hour lucky for me how can you beat a pint of stone anything for 3 bucks. Not to mention half price apps. Was pretty hungry so grabbed a couple apps to split with the GF

Service was excellent I cant remember our servers name for the life of me but she def knew her beer and for that alone is worth a big tip in my book :) The selection of beer is pretty solid, mostly west coast and quite a few imports, I think the number on tap was somewhere around a 150 or so but based on how busy it was when I stopped in I would say they are def turning over those kegs so freshness should not be an issue it wasn't with any of the brews I tried.
So if your in the Las vegas area def check out this branch I recommend it highly
