Served in a shaker pint glass.
Shenandoah constantly has some new fruit-induced brew at the ready every time I stop by. So far, it's been a mixed bag, so I'm interested to see where on the spectrum this guy falls. Pours a hazy amber leaning toward the dark side, with three quarters of a finger of foamy ecru head. Only a very slight amount of lacing is produced. Lots o' berries, not all of which are black-, issue forth into the nose, followed by a little bit o' wheat and a few pots worth of orchids. Those berries lead the charge against the taste buds, but seem cut with pine needles. From the back charges a horde of menthol, which tails off into a numb bitterness and mild mintiness. A light body, a heavily moderate carbonation, and dry finish make for a decently high drinkability, but the somewhat off-putting flavors keep this guy from truly taking off.
