This is a fantastic beer bar, boasting 18 taps and over 250 bottles of imported and craft beer. Located in an old Amsterdam distillery, the inside is small, wood paneled and has all the charm of an authentic English style pub. Beers ranged from Brewdog, to a plethora of Belgians, to a 17 Euro bottle of Alaskan Smoked Porter! We discovered a cute little back bar hidden around the corner from the main area and settled in. Several beer books and board games looking to be as old as the bar lined the shelves in this room. I ended up trying the wonderfully malty and smoky Schlenkerla Doppelbock on tap, while my wife ordered the Netherlands' own trappist beer La Trappe Quadrupel. It didn't take much before all four of us weary travelers were nodding off with the comfort of clinking glasses, murmur of background chat and tasty brews. This gem of a pub is well worth the visit and I'd love to go back when I have more time and energy!

Cozy, dimly-lit beer oasis off an alley on the New Side. Authentic atmosphere with kind staff, and a mix of regulars and tourists. Gets quite busy as the afternoon goes on.
Grab one off the tap list and then peruse their extensive Bierkaart.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Beautiful day. Sat outside. A great vibe. Great tap and bottle list. Good selection of Dutch beers but primarily it’s all about the Belgian beers. This bar was highly recommended and it did not disappoint.

A traditional Dutch brown cafe, not far from Central Station. A wonderful mix of beers (mostly Belgian) and the two two times I've been there an interesting mix of locals and tourists. An extremely comfortable place where the servers really know their beer and know how to serve it.

Our first visit here was on a Wednesday night, it was mellow and laid back. We tried to go again on Friday and it was standing room only and was much livelier.
There are two rooms to this establishment. We sat at the elevated part of the main bar. It was a great place to sit as you can easily see the chalkboard menu and spend some time people watching. There is a ton of wood, some great old beer stuff and older windows and floors, it is lived in in the best way.
Service was professional and became friendlier as the night went on. There were two bartenders and they had to hustle to keep up with the crowd. Never saw them frazzled or in ill temper.
Beer selection is large and mostly from Belgium and the Netherlands with a few other options (German & US) thrown in. 18 drafts and a massive bottle list will make sure you find something you will like.
I thought this place attracted the most serious of the beer aficionados compared to the other beer spots in town. They had a mix of tourists and locals.

In De Wildman is a small place that you can visit when you're in Amsterdam with friends. The beer selection is good, ranging from dutch beers to US beers passing through abig belgian availability.
There's not great chance of finding rare beers here but you'll be able to chose between the ones who shaped everything we know about craft beer today.
The food is not fantastic but that's not what the place is really about. In De Wildeman has become one of my to-go bars in Amsterdam, the vibe and the selection makes the choice easier than ever.

Love this place. Tucked away along one of the many small streets not far from the train station and the Damrak, In De Wildeman is a real gem. They often have Cantillon on tap and the bottle list is pretty incredible too. The building seems very old but that only adds to the allure. The staff is always great, willing to make recommendations and shoot the shit when they're not packed. Sitting outside on a busy night is an experience in its own. Some prime people watching.

this place has been around for a long time - I probably first went here over 20 years ago and have returned several times since. It can hold a pretty decent crowd. They have 18 taps and over 250 bottled selections with a great assortment of local, euro and imports. The crowd is mixed, tending towards young, with a blend of locals and tourists. Beautiful place to drink.

Very hard to find in a small narrow alley but when you find it you can have some great beers there.
