Presentation: 12 oz longneck, nice looking label but no information about ABV or date information.

Appearance: Fairly light in color, between gold and orange, slightly hazy. Nice head but it fades quickly, leaving just a bit of lacing.

Smell: Fruity, flowery hops dominate, with just a bit of malt sweetness.

Taste: Light in body, lots of hop flavors. Nice and drinkable but still quite a bit of flavor.

Overall impression: Nice beer - very drinkable with plenty of flavor, this six pack should go quick.

Marble IPA
Marble Brewery

Marble IPA is very pale in color, mainly yellow with hints of orange. It is translucent in nature, a little misty and a little murky. Not a very large head, but it sticks around for quite a while. The bubbles are massive at first, but then reduce to a fine layer of wispy foam. Lacing is rather spotty, but pretty heavy in some places.

Citrus hop aroma takes center stage. I also detect some fruitiness and spiciness, as well, almost like bananas and cloves. Overall, it does not have an overpowering smell, but it is very appealing.

The taste is rather mild, at first. Then the oily, bitter hop flavor hits the front of the palette. The bitterness is subdued, momentarily, allowing an orange-like citrus flavor to hit the roof of the mouth. Then, a subtle piney bitterness takes over, leading to a crisp, clean finish. However, the aftertaste is loaded with dry piney bitterness that tickles the tongue. The sensation is short-lived, yet the piney flavor lingers at the back of the throat. This is a solid IPA.

Marble has a medium to light body with minimal carbonation. The aftertaste leaves a sticky, oily, cottony feeling in the mouth, beckoning another swig.

Since its body is on the lighter side, it is very easy to drink. In fact, my glass seems to have disappeared much quicker than I anticipated. The low ABV also makes it possible to enjoy a few in one sitting. Yes sir, I will have another.

p/u @ jubilation in Albuquerque. Thank you Danny!
Poured from 12 oz bottle in "another brand" pint glass.
A-Clear golden amber with 1" white head that laces very well.
A- Fresh crisp citrus hops strong note. Very light floral note.
T- First and foremost it is strong grapefruit hops. This maybe due to their use of Columbus,Amarillo and Centennial hops. It is less floral than some other Am.Ipa's yet very very tasty. The taste lingers for a long time and mmm reminds you of it's goodness.
M- medium light mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation.
D- I really like this Am.IPA and will buy it again. I look forward to visiting the brewpub tasting it on tap.
This is the first beer they have started bottling. It is a new brewery with deep roots. Thank you!

Pours a deep golden hue with a bit of orange. Nice off white, lasting head. Just a slight bit of chill or hop haze.

The aroma is divine...smells like an IPA should smell. Loaded with hop aroma of grapefruit and passionfruit.

Flavor has an underlying maltiness to balance all the hops in this one. Detect some mango flavors, definite citrus hop flavor. The hops coat the tongue and linger long after swallowing.

Light to medium body, nice moderate carbonation level. I love the lighter bodied and colored IPA's, yet this one has enough malt to balance nicely with the hops.

Fantastic IPA...although I admit I may be a little biased when it comes to this hometown brewery. I have always been a fan of Ted's beers!
