This beer started out well, it looked great on pour, hazy gold with a fluffy white head that lasted and lasted. The smell was what I was expecting, some hops and some candi and some funky notes. The taste, was just meh. I mean you could taste the hops and the candi, but there wasn't much of either. It just kind of was. The same could be said for the feel. It was just there. It felt like a "beer" but nothing jumps out.

It felt like this was a beer, but that beer you see on TV that has "beer" on the label. It wasn't offensive, it wasn't spectacular, it really was one of the dullest beers I have have ever had.

Veiled straw color with faint activity. Gets deeply hazy and murky with more yeast pour. Slightly foamy light beige 3 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with poor legs, okay lacing, but lacks a swirl effect. Flavors of green grapes, light grapefruits, flowers, wild yeast, caramel, black pepper, wheat, sweet grains and floral hops. Slick and smooth full body with prickly carbonation, softly crispy. Light to medium strength finish, clean and lightly dry, slightly sour and funky with a bit of hay, ending with balanced grains and flowery hops. Not much cheesy nor strong in the yeast department, the barnyard feel is too faint. Feels like a table Saison of session strength, similar to a Sofie but unfortunately not as complex. Gets a little more powerful the more the yeast is poured but still not enough for my taste. Still a nice pleasant and delicate Saison to enjoy, with good freshness. Overall very good quality craft.

Bottle: Poured a hazy deep golden color ale with a nice large foamy head with good carbonation and some great lacing. Aroma of dry floral undertones with some nice cereal notes and light herbal notes are also noticeable. Taste is a mix fresh cereal notes with some dry undertones, some herbal notes with nice peppery yeast notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Solid saison and something I will try track down again.

Pours a hazy gold with a puffy three inches of white head. Good retention; little to no lacing. (4)

Mix of doughy, floral and tart saison aromas. Flowers, funk, dust, wild twang, white pepper bite. Really nice. (4)

Rich doughy yeast flavor without much else going on. (3.5)

Light-plus body with active carbonation and a dry finish (a little flabby). (3.75)

A pretty decent saison.
Nothing incredible but far from bad. It pours a vibrant hazy gold with an ample cap of white head. The aroma is where it really shines. Funky, floral and slightly tart. There is lots going on and there are layers of character to be teased apart. The flavor has that hearty pizza dough flavor that some saisons seem to have. Hearty bread flavor some sweet floral hints and not much else. It is dry, drinkable and fairly refreshing. I'd have it again but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. (3.75)
