From a 500ml bottle. Undated; there's a space for lot# but it is blank. Served in a nonic.
Pours chestnut-to-black with ruby and cola highlights and a vast fluffy beige cap that makes it look more like an ice cream soda than beer. Exceptional retention - in fact, after the last sip there was still foam in the glass - and epic gobs of sticky lace.
The smell is malt and more malt. It smells the way I remember my uncle's homemade beer smelling when I was a little kid and my mother got mad at him for sneaking me a sip, smells like brown sugar on oatmeal, wet campfires, mushrooms, and leaves in the fall.
Tastes of toasted grain, dark roast coffee and burnt sugar, oak leaves and tobacco with a slightly nutty, floral aftertaste and a long lingering pleasantly charred bitterness.
The feel is clean and sharp, medium-light bodied and quite heavily carbonated.
Overall, a highly satisfactory beverage. I was initially a little put off by the brisk carbonation but it develops into a big part of the beer's drinkability and, by the bottom of the glass, I was thinking I could drink en tabernak more of these bébés.

I think I've already tasted it but never reviewed. I decided to buy it mostly because it says on the bottle "even more hops" so lets see.
Dark brown with red hues under light with a nice creamy head. Smell of roasted malts, hazelnuts, also some espresso and dark chocolate aromas are perceivable, you can also smell some hops. Nice coffee taste with hazelnuts overtones. Also really bitter from the hops used, I feel like there's too much carbonation though, but that would be my only complain about the beer.

Nose is burnt caramel, bread and some citrus fruits. Hops more upfront in the taste, citrus fruits, with a big malt backing. The beer is a bit sweet overall, though there is a bitter aspect. Quite nice.

Service: Bottle
A:
Pours a dark brown that is impenetrable to light with a huge stiff beige head that takes forever to settle (to a ¼ inch cap), leaving globs of sticky lace in its wake. Great retention, lots of lace. (4.25)
S:
Bright citrus hops with some rich nuts. Nuts, citrus rind, earth, washcloth, hard water, milk chocolate, herbal hop backbone. (4)
T:
Lightly toasty with some bright hops. Light roast, cocoa, lemon peel, dirt, nuts. (4)
M:
Thinnish, bubbly, light-medium body, lingering toasty-nutty finish. (3.75)
O:
Good overall beer.
Tasty and easy drinking. It is not the richest or creamiest, but it is drinkable and is both malty and hoppy without being in any way overpowering. Lovely in the glass, bright smell and an even taste. It is a nice beer and a good representation of the style.
Maybe not the best, but far from the worst. I will have it again if I come across it. (4)

Bottle: Poured a deep opaque brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of light coffee with roasted malt notes, light nuts and some earthy hoppy notes are also noticeable. Taste is a mix between some light nutty flavours, with some dry bitter coffee notes which are well balanced against some earthy hoppy notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well brewed for the style with loads of complexity while retaining some good drinkability level.
