Started recently going here and have really enjoyed it. Right near Fenway park for those visiting Boston, it can be a fun place to get a cheap dinner, and for the locals, a nice place to start the weekend.

The atmosphere is really hit or miss. You get a mix of young and old, however you definitely find it to be more professional. The music though can be a little too loud as it bumps.

The quality is good. Their beer is fresh and made on site. A nice brimming glass of beer is always good. I went easy on their brewing but I have mixed feelings about their IIPA.

The service really is top notch. There is plenty of bar space to grab a drink and the bartender will look for you. Without a doubt I have never waited long to get a beer in my hands. Even on a Saturday night, the service moves fast and dinner at 8pm took about 15 minutes to get a table.

The food was good, however I am leaving this inbetween. The first time I went, I got a double bacon cheese burger for $13. That provided 20 oz of beef with loads of cheddar cheese and perfectly cooked bacon with lettuce/tomato/onion on the side with ketchup or sauce. I was stuffed. Too much food, I won't complain with that kind of value. The second time I went, I got the Mexicali chicken sandwich. A grilled chicken breast with jalapenos and spciey cheese for $10.45. It was good however they provided no lettuce/tomato/or onion. Slightly odd for a sandwich. Also the fry upgrades (99 cents for sandwich) are not worth it. My girlfriend got gravy fries and for 99 cents got roughly a tablespoon on a heaping pile of french fries. Its fine to offer an upgrade but for a dollar they could definitely put a little more on there.

The value I gave $$, its actually cheap as a sandwich, burger or pizza is well within reason, however sometime additional charges are not worth it. They offer their beer in different size, however a 22 ouncer is definitely the way to get the most bang for your buck. Would rate it cheaper but they don't offer cheaper alternatives (their light lager is the price of their pale ale). Definitely a reasonable place as you can get two 22 oz. beers and a sandwich for roughly $25.

Final Thoughts - I like Beer Works a lot. They do some things really right, and some not so much. Its unfortunate that the food can be hit or miss some times but never the less compared to some bars in that area, you get a wonderful variety of fresh brews to try. Give it a go.

I was here after a terrific Red Sox game that had them come back to score three in the ninth to beat the Cards. Needless to say the atmosphere was pumped up.

I thought the service was good considering the crowds. My bartender was able to make a recommendation for one of my party who was looking for something specific.

My beers were fresh and I thought well made. I had a hoppy read and nice stout. Prices were good considering the location.

This was a large sleek space. I liked how it wasn’t really a traditional brewpub.

I will head back next time I am near Fenway!

Standard, Granite City like brewery & restaurant. Convenient that it's right next to Fenway Park.

Classic place. Very crowded before Sox games, but definitely a better spot than some of the other places around Fenway, which can be tourist trappy. Solid pub food. Prices are decent for a "captive audience" type spot. You'll always find a fun new beer on tap here, too.

Took my father-in-law and the family here after we toured Fenway Park for Fathers Day weekend festivities. The space was quite large with tables to the side upon entering, tables on the main floor, and a large bar area to one's right. The brewing area is actually wide open on the right side when you enter the space.

Overall atmosphere seemed relaxing and social with a dark paint/industrial design with several televisions adorned across the space. Since it was not a game day, there was plenty of room in this big restaurant, but I imagine its very crowded on game days.

Menu was generally pub-based. Several sandwich and burger options and some pub dinners. I had the Beer Works Turkey Tips, which were pretty good. I enjoyed the large portions and the turkey was nicely marinated and cooked. For drinks, I decided to have the Flight #2, which consisted of the UR IPL, the Deliberation Session IPA, the Contender IPA, and the Hoppy Brown.

Service was quite good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. She even helped pick my meal since I was undecided.

Overall, I don't have much experience drinking or socializing near Fenway, but this seemed like a nice place to have a few drinks and eat before, during, or after a game.
