A-Pours a reddish/caramel with little to no head from a bartender doing me a "favor"
S-Roasted malts and sweets hops....not much else.
T-Caramel, roasted grains, and some toffee.
M-Thin and low carbonation, I think the keg is getting old, or no one knows how decent a brew this is right now.
D-Not a bad beer that I found in a country-ass bar in BFE. Would like to try it fresh at the brewery and re-review!

Served on-tap in a pint glass at the Pyramid Bar at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. Just reported an update that this one must not be retired. Slightly hazy medium brown body with a one-finger tan head. Only a touch of lacing.

Light aroma of toasted malt and lager yeast. Not much else.

The flavor is really OK for an amber, but not over the top. The aforementioned toasted malt comes through, but there is also a hint of cocoa and a bit of molasses. Otherwise, very lager-like.

Light mouthfeel that is very drinkable. Better than I expected.

Appearance:
Dark amber color, clear. Tons of carbonation streaming. Thick frothy head.

Aroma:
Toasted malts, sweetness, some spicy hops.

Taste/Finish/Body:
Bready, toasted malts, caramel, bread crust. Spicy hops towards the end. Finish is mostly dry. Medium bodied, smooth, semi-crisp, easy drinking.

Overall:
It's a very good beer.

Pours out to a very creamy head and long lacing. Color is hazy amber. Aroma is malty, with caramel, toast, and floral hops. Flavor is subtle mix of Munich malt, crystal malt and soft, gentle hop flavor and bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and co2 is moderate. Overall this beer presents itself as a clean malt showcase. It has German lager-like smoothness and less American "attitude" for the style.

bought this one after visiting the brewery in person a few weeks back:

a no too nice - barely any head at all and no lacing.
dark amber with a hint or reddish color - hi clarity

s sweet toasty maltiness but a tinge of metallic

t NICE on the palate - malty backbone with just a TOUCH of hops way in the back

M - nice low carbonation

d OK for guzzling
