his summertime lager is both smooth and refreshing as soon as it hits the lips. We take so much pride in it because there is truly nothing else like it on the market. We brew this German Style Helles Lager with three types of malt: pilsner, pale and carafoam. We then gingerly scatter some very light floral hops at the beginning to give it some esters and sweetness that compliment the watermelon. The true magic of this beer does not occur in the brewing process, but in the conditioning vessel. This is where we add the best, farm-fresh local watermelon and then "push" the beer into it, allowing it to sit and saturate for a few weeks. By the time it is complete, you are left with an unbelievably smooth-tasting beer with a captivating aroma and very subtle taste of watermelon that imparts its way into this already crisp lager. Truly our customers' favorite session beer, this one will have you reaching for another glass.

I have been sampling this beer all summer at different good beer destinations in the burgh. Pours with a golden body and a spritzy pink tinted white head. Aroma scream juicy melon pulp with a touch of biscuit malt carrying this fruit beer along. Flavor was again watermelon focused a deep juicy layer of refreshing yet candy like flavors with cereal grains adding some beeriness to the whole thing. Mouthfeel was not too cloying but had some stickiness going on, carbonation was spritzy as mentioned prior. Body overall light to the edge of medium. Drinkability overall an interesting watermelon infused brew, it's nice to try one becuase when I get ahold of cans of 21st amendment my palate won't go into shock. I was able to down a few pints while drinkin' at Smokin' Joe's and I revisited this drink at the Big Pour, quality.

Definitely getting water, but not melon. Very little discernible flavor and what is there disappears very quickly.

Poured a clear straw color with almost a finger of head that dissipated rather quickly. The nose is fruity but there is an odd note as well. The watermelon comes through in the flavor profile and the finish is semi-dry.
