thanks to Mark for the share, enjoyed in a half pint.

The color is practically black and opaque clarity with thin light tan head.
The smell is a mix of sweet and smoky with a mild woody type accent. The feel is nicely balanced smoke and malt level with semi-dry finish and moderately carbonated with light phenolic quality with medium body.

The taste has a nice level of smoke in flavor with some sweet caramel to balance with toasted quality in the middle and yeast adding to the smoke which continues into the finish and lingers in a semi-dry residual feel. This is a pretty good rauchbier -nicely smoked without letting the smoked malt flavor become overbearing.

A- motor oil black with a half finger tan carbonated head. Wavy mountainous lacing on pint. Opaque as well.

S- roasted coffee and chocolate malt.

F- bitter coffee malt with roasted follow up.

M- bitter coffee hangs around a tad too long in this brew.

O- not bad but def have had better.unlikely to buy again.
