550ml bottle 5,0% Abv

Appearance: Robson's wheat beer pours a wonderful, only slightly clouded, shade of orange-gold, with a decently sized off white head. The head lasts fairly well but leaves little lacing.

Smell: Wow, what an interesting nose. Wheat malt, spicy coriander, fruitiness - consisting of peaches and tart citrus notes (mostly lemon) - and some floral hops are all noted, with the peaches just coming out on top.
The smell is actually pretty good, but is could be great if it was just a little stronger.

Taste: Wow, this flavour is far from what I was expecting.
Fairly tart, acidic fruits dominate the flavour -lemon, orange and again some peach. Coriander is noted, however it is secondary to the tart fruitiness.
There is some slightly spicy hop flavour in the finish, but very little/no bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body with a moderate level of carbonation.

Drinkability: Certainly a very interesting (and pretty damn good) take on a wheat beer that fits the hot South African climate perfectly. Wonderfully refreshing and very easy to drink. I will most certainly be having a large number of these in the hot summer months to come.

This is certainly not a normal wit beer and people buying it under that impression will be very disappointed. The tartness is as bigger contributor to the beer as the spices, but none the less a very good beer.

EDIT: I have had this beer a few times since this review and it was quite different (and closer to the listed style) from this reviewed bottle. I will update the review soon.

Man, this one was a disappointment. Wheats are among my favorites, and this thing pours a nice honey-opaque color. (WAY way way too much foam. I poured carefully and just have a mile of foam for an inch of beer. It's really resilient and sticks around too; I had to spoon some out into the sink).

The smell was one of the best. Bright, floral and fruity. But then I took a sip.. initially pleasing followed by a WHAM of tart citrus or something. Felt quite artificial and overpowering and unfortunately ruined the rest of the beer for me.
