On tap at Barrique's in downtown Madison. Thanks to golden2wenty1 and EehaiCJ for the assist. Pint pulled from a sweet conetop can tap handle.

Foggy reddish orange, nice clarity. Compact layer of white foam that leaves some arcs of lacing on the glass. Great aroma of sweet citrus, juicyfruit gum, strangely even strawberry. Candied hops in liquid form.

Flavor was also sweet at first, with a smooth resiny bitterness that built up over time. Lush orange and grapefruit citrus notes, with a uniquely distinct strawberry note in there as well. Some hints at malt in the aftertaste, but eclipsed by the rush of hop bitterness. Finishes dry with some residual bitterness lingering. It has lower carbonation levels and its easy to drink, almost perilously so at 10%. I'd most certainly have another one, and will seek it out in the future (if it gets brewed again).

This was an impressive beer from Potosi. They are finally dipping their feet into the "extreme" side of craft brewing, nice to see them brewing some new styles. Hope to see this available in bombers or 4-packs!

Poured 16oz can into snifter. Dark amber/copper colored with a 2 finger white head. Maintains a nice thin cap and there are swaths of lacing on my glass. Potent hop aroma dominated by big juicy citrus, grapefruit, and pine sap. The sweet malts come in with caramel and bread. Flavor is dank with grapefruit pith, pine sap and bit of earthy hops are mixed in as well. The balance of sweet malts keeps the bitter from over powering this beer. I get some caramel and honey soaked bread. Finish is all bitter. Medium body with some stickiness and abrasiveness. Carbonation is spot on for the style. Bitterness lingers for awhile. A nice dank, West Coast IIPA with a good malt backbone.

Aroma is a big citrus/fruit bomb and slightly perfumed. The flavor is citrus/fruit, malts, dry in the middle and a mix of bitter, tart a slightly sweet in the finish.
