A - Quite light, hazed lemon color. Full sized, smooth, creamy, smooth, tight, ivory white head. Good retention leaving a nice lacing.
S - Pretty faint aroma. Some light, pilsner malt. Pretty grainy. Touches of grassy hops but it's pretty faint.
T - A bit bigger than the nose suggested, but pretty similar. Quite grainy, with a touch of breadiness. Faint grassy hops. Ends up being pretty faint toward the end of drinking this beer.
M - Light body. Slightly above average carbonation. Pretty crisp. Standard for the style.
D - Pretty easy to drink. Crisp and quite refreshing albeit not all that flavorful.
Notes: Not a top noch Czech Pilsener. Could use a bit more hops. It was pretty refreshing regardless.

Appearance: Pours a slightly clouded (70% clarity), medium golden color with a strong white head that lingers. SRM of 9. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of pale bread malts mixed with lemon citrus. Some floral notes emerge within the citrus. (3.75)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of smooth pale bread malts, sweet lemon citrus with light floral and earthy yeast notes. Mild citrus sweetness lingers. (4.00)
Feel: Medium-bodied, appropriate carbonation to match. A mildly sweet lemon and bread sweetness, but not too heavy and somewhat clean. (4.25)
Overall: Always dig the Czech Pils style. Great sweet pale bread and lemon citrus sweetness. The reviews on BeerAdvocate aren't great here so figured I'd see for myself. Sweet pale bread malts and lemon citrus but not too sweet or heavy. Still and clean pilsner mouthfeel. American flavors, but still drinks with complex flavors and a dynamic mouthfeel spot on for the style. I think the hate on this one may be the underappreciation for the Czech Pils style in general unfortunately. This one is pretty good. (Rating: 3.97+)

Right along the lines of a clean, standard pilsner. Doesnt try to do too much which is an issue with other craft brewers for this style. Decent price too for a six pack.

Can from Woodman’s in Madison poured into glass. Decent head. Bready and drinkable.

Pours a clear golden color with a brief head receding into a ring around the glass. As I opened the can I caught a whiff of toasted malt that brought back memories of domestic beers I drank 50 or more years ago (including the original Good Old Potosi).
Malt and bittering hops speak out boldly up front, comparable to Staropramen or Budovar, but not quite matching their depth of flavor. I'm reminded more of some Dortmunder brews like DAB. Mouthfeel is along the same lines, along with the relatively dry finish.

Very close to the style. Everything Potosi makes is right on style. Keep up the good work.

12oz can, snifter glass. Medium lighter yellow body, slight brownish hue, one finger white head, solid retention, no lacing. Smell is crisp pilsner malt, a bit of minimal straw, not much else. Maybe a touch of floral? Flavour is similarly standard pilsner, without much to distinguish it. Reasonably clean, not much in way of off flavours, lighter in body, good carbonation, mildly earthy wet grain finish.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear golden yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is corn grain and malt. The taste follows the nose.

Pours a darker golden color - clear and crisp. Somewhat clear around the edges of the glass. Fleeting hint of a head dissipates almost immediately. No residual head or lacing.
Smell has notes of bready malts, corn, grain, mineral water, honey and some grassy hops on the finish.
Taste is remarkably bitter and astringent right off the bat. Some grain comes through with grassy bitter hops on the finish. Not sure if I got a bad bottle or what, but this is just not good. All sweet grain and very bitter/astringent hops.
Feel is fizzy and pretty carbonated. Dry finish on the tongue. Bit on the heavy side for the style.
Overall this is not a great beer - again Im not sure if this is just a bad batch or what. Doubt I'll ever revisit this one.

Pours a clear yellow golden color with white head. Cereal grain and grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied and crisp. Finishes with more grain, grass, crisp and clean. Nice easy drinking pilsener.

I was in the mood for a good pilsner and like Potosi beers so why not pick-up a six pack?
Poured into a pint glass the beer is a nice gold with a slight chill haze. It has a decent, dense white sticky head.
The nose is of grains and a bit of floral and herbal notes.
The beer is balanced between some semi-sweet graininess and some pepper and floral notes from the hops. There is a bit of mineral taste which was a nice touch.
The mouth is medium with crisp carbonation.
It hit the spot and would be very easy to pair with a Wisconsin fish fry!
