The Neighborhood was located on the edge of Gaslamp District. It's a nice, clean, small-ish establishment, but had a cool vibe. Open windows to the street.

They had a small bar and several tables. Since I came here for lunch, I ordered some carnitas tacos and water. The tacos were good. They had a solid tap list (too bad I had to go back to work). They had 7 Russian River beers on tap, Alpine, and about 7 Societe beers. The server was nice and friendly.

When I stay near the Gaslamp I'll re-visit. Just a wee bit far to walk from One America Plaza for lunch.

Service is very important to me, and our server went above and beyond after I had to switch meals with my girlfriend because her food was too spicy for her. The menu itself did not mention that the meal would be spicy ( I was happy to eat it) and the friendly server took it off our bill even after I protested that it wasn't necessary to do so. The beer list was short but sweet, with offerings from Societe and Alpine to delight this beer geek. The salad I got was very tasty, it was the arugula and watercress salad, I think, and the sausage with MF'n pull pork was excellent! My girlfriend enjoyed *my* grilled cheese sandwich and (was it tomato? I can't remember) bisque. The vibe was very casual and full of flair - the entry door sports Jesus Christ enjoying a hamburger, and the whole place is full of fun visual social commentary. But there was no pretentious or exclusionary vibe at all. I hope to go back soon.

I love these guys because they gave me Alpine Nelson and then Pliny when A N ran out - a superior customer experience in all respects

This is a small bar not far from the ballpark. All the window were opened for loads of fresh air. A funky tile wall of San DIego takes up the whole back space. The rest of the space is made up of metal, dark woods, and concrete and has a warehouse feel. The bar seats about 12.

On this visit there were 28 beers on draft. Loads of local California beers including Stone Vertical 12.12.12., Alpine, Mother Earth, Lagunitas, and Green Flash. The beers I had were very good and fresh.

This is a must stop for any BA in San Diego.
