Dark ruby color, medium carbonation, small off-white head, plenty of lace.

Smell malty, with a hint of sourdough, black fruit and berries (juniper?)

Taste malty, on the sweet side. Body full, rounded. High gravity (18 degrees Plato) is evident. Mouthfeel smooth. Hops and spices in the finish, bisquity aftertaste.

Very nice beer. Worth a try.

Pours deep brown with a slight red tint, very small creamy head which quickly recedes. Pleasant smell with hints of well balance sweetness and hops flavors. Very smooth and well balanced flavor with just a hint of spiciness at the end. A very slight metallic taste that reminded me for some reason of Arcadia Scotch Ale. I loved this beer and I wish I would have brought a few bottles home, but the price was outrageously inflated in Ecuador. I am hoping I can find this one somewhere in the states. The only thing keeping the drinkability on this one from being higher is the massive size of the bottle.
