A - Pale yellow, clear as water, llittle head but lots of carbonation.
S - Metallic and coppery, very little smell otherwise.
T - Very little taste, drying and a bit bitter, but not hoppy. Largley tastes of metal. Not offensive, but watery.
M - Very light, watery.
D - About as drinkable as cold water. And about as flavourful.

Half liter mug at Gustavs Bargarten. Keizer OR. $5.50 Yellow beer. Slightly hazy, with a nice frothy white head. Creamed corn and grassy hop aromas. Same in the taste..hops in the end. Grainy a bit. Mouth feel not too bad. Average pils.

A textbook pilsner, with average noble hop taste, significant carbonation. Crisp, drinkable and refreshing. Not going to blow you away by any means but sticks true to its’ style.

Appearance – This one is a brilliant bright yellow in color and slightly hazy. It has some good, light carbonation and is topped with a beautiful, white, retentive, clinging head.

Smell – The aroma here is unusually grainy and the hops are spiced but very light. This is not bad but off from what I’m used to for the style.

Taste – The beer mellows a bit at the taste. The hops pick things up a bit and there’s a light fruity finish that evens things out.

Mouthfeel – This light-bodied Pils has a nice, light, tingly feel on the tongue and some surprisingly stiff drying in the mouth.

Drinkability – This isn’t a classic by any stretch of the imagination but is rather inexpensive and worth a look.

Drinkability.

That’s what this beer is all about. It’s easy on the lips like Jessica Alba is on the eyes. It’s light, blonde, soft and spicy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the body.

Flavor wise, there isn’t much there. I would say that water is the primary flavor with some light, almost toasty malts and herbal hops follow through with some pleasant notes. Aroma is light, not quite skunked, and mostly light herbal and floral German hops. Mouthfeel is watery, but lighter then water somehow.

Overall, dull, but oh so drinkable. Very nice but can you believe that Opus charged me $5.50 for a 10 oz poor of this?

Presentation: Served in a 0.5l branded mug at Restaurant Leibniz-Klause in Berlin.

Appearance: Pale, clear, bright golen yellow with a big, thick, clumpy white foam lace -- plenty of stick.

Taste: Light all over, and smooth. Hops are the focus with a strong, coarse herbal character followed by rind in the background and salty sting. Thin sweetness, but enough to hold things together. Hop finish is long.

Notes: A nice brew to suck back with some food, but nothing fancy. Went quite well with my Kesselgoulasch.

11.2 ounce brown bottle (new packaging?) w/o any freshness dating. Pours prety clear light straw, white head, showing some retention, scattered lacing, nose is mildly earthy. This is a fairly light bodied, crisp pilsner. Light notes of honey and grainy hops in the finish. not a bad little summer quaffer/quencher.

Pours clear, yellow in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is grass, cracker, and grain. Super light bodeied, sweet, with moderate carbonation. Makes for an excellent sessionable German pilsener. I will get this one again.

Very plane and simple, but slaughered by the reast of the German field.

L: pours brilliant straw to straw gold filled with streams of rapidly rising bubbles capped by a 1" blanket of foam with good retention.

S: mild aroma of faint green apple, some spicy hops, a hint of earthiness, traces of cracker and light bread dough and a very faint whiff of canned cabbage.

T: The flavors start lightly sweet with light cracker. The cracker builds slightly in the middle joined by mild bread dough and moderate bitterness leading to a drying finish.

F: creamy with a medium to medium light body and medium to medium high carbonation.

O: well balanced, flavorful easy to drink beer

A 500ml bottle with a BB of July 2012.

Poured into a tulip pint glass. A clear pale-gold colour with good carbonation. Forms a decent head of creamy white foam that lasts for a couple of minutes before subsiding. Faint aroma of light malt with a whiff of noble hops and solvent.

Tastes of light malt with a crisp bitter finish. Weak hints of stewed noble hops, and a harsh background note. Bitterness is relatively strident for a lager. Mouthfeel is light, prickly and dry. Somewhat astringent. Aftertaste of light malt and stewed hops.

So-so. Above average for most lagers, but only middling when compared to other German pilseners. A hint of noble hops and a more obvious bitterness, but otherwise this doesn't stray far from the standard lager template. No need to seek it out.

Clear gold, good dense white head of 1/4 of an inch. Light sweet aromas, similar to many Pilsners. Malt is pleasant and nutty, straying toward papery but not too off-putting. Hops are acidic in quality and have a slight tobacco sense, as well. This brew has a definite flavor profile along with its crsipness. Nothing incredible but I liked its impression well enough.

Appearance: Yellow golden body with a nice sized frothy white head leaves nice lacing down my glass. Aroma: Mild sweetness clean grassy hop profile not bad at all, clean with some hops. Taste: Upfront hop bitterness crisp german pils a bit one dimensional and boring at times but I like the hop bitterness that comes through the flavors are of grassy herbal hops. The sweetness is balancing but very nice slightly bready. Mouthfeel: Lighter bodied meant for the summer season carbonation was a bit much, other than that nothing special. Drinkability: A nice German pils that is decently flavorful and refreshing.

My least favourite Lager when visiting Germany, the Germans already serve Lager with a massive head which is bad enough.
The Beer/lager loses it carbonation almost immediately, making you drink it faster. Not my first choice.
Pale, smooth and clean taste, just a shame about the bubbles ! 'hic'

Pretty nice, easy drinking pils. Dryish flavour, with a slightly herby dry hop finish, not big on body, and not big on complexity, but very nice drinking, a slightly better than average German Pils.
