Bottle at Islenskii Barrinn in Reykjavik. From notes.
A - Black with alot of dark reddish sort of character. Transparent. Good two finger, creamz white head with medium carbonation. Leaves fairly good lacing.
S - Rich maltiness in the form of sort of mild dark fruit. Bread and grain with that kiss of fruitiness.
T - Tame than the aroma which does not say much. Sweet. All the elements of the aroma come out in a weaker form.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Average feel for the style.
D - Nothing to write home about but I could have a few. Flavourful and easy drinking but nothing I would seek out.

12oz bottle. Pours brown, red under light, with a two finger off-white head that leaves nice lacing.
Aroma is muted, some caramel, sweetness, bread.
Sweet flavor, caramel malts, some dark fruit, light bitterness, bread.
Semi-dry, refreshing finish. Definitely sweet, though. Medium carbonation.
Didn't know what to expect with this one and was pleasantly surprised.

A - Nice clear dark brown, reddish hue. Thick, creamy head that holds firm.
Sm - Aromas of biscuit, caramel and bubblegum.
T - Nice malty sweetness. Good balance between nuttyness and roastyness.
M - Medium bodied with perfect carbonation.
D - This is a very drinkable beer, a bit on the sweet side for my taste. It paired very well with my meatball and spaghetti supper.

Pours a three finger cream head that stays leaving a good lace. Deep mahogany color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Piney, malty nose. Flavor is roasted/burnt caramel, slight bitter finish. 330ml bottle 246 ISK ~ $2.95 Vínbúõin Hvolsvelli, Iceland. From my notes - 7/22/2008.
