This is a very interesting beer. Amber colored with a white head and some noticable retention with slight lacing.

Smell and taste are the same, something I had before but it took some time to put a name to it....wild black honey, like what we once harvested ourselves, resiny bitter and sweet with a warm foul bite. Sounds bad but is more of an aquired taste, than anything else. I would be interested to see if honey is used in this beer or if the flavor is accomplished by simple malts and hops alone.

Pretty loose on the palate but not light, goes down moderately smooth, the aftertaste hangs around for a bit.

Pours a three finger white head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a little lace. Crystal clear pale amber color. Grassy nose. Light-medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor is sweet hay, hops must be balancing as this is rather inoffensive. As usual special doesn't mean anything. $1.83 for a 11.5oz bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT.

It says "Premium Natural Power" on the neck...oh.

Pours golden yellow with a foamy head. Trailing lace sticks.

The smell is of light grain with a hint of "Euro-skunk. Pretty clean overall. Fairly inoffensive.

The taste is of light grain and husk. There is of a bit oxidation/wet cardboard. Slight bitterness intermingles, in a sort of "washed out hops" way. Still, a bit better than average for an industrial-type lager.

Light-bodied, but not too watery. Crisp.

An inoffensive, pretty-easy "refresher". Pretty clean. Crisp. So - what's so "special"?

A - Label reads "PREMIUM NATURAL POWER". Nice. Pours a very pale, clear yellow. Generous head of two inches or more. Retention was kind of poor whereas lacing was average.

S - Very light on the nose. It took some effort to get notes of bread and malt. I think there was some hop bitterness in the background but that was almost imperceptible.

T - The flavor is also light but has a distinct refreshing characterstic. The malt base is the first on a very short list of flavors. Next is a betterness on the end that stands out a little more than in the smell.

M - This one is thin and light. Carbonation was good.

D - This beer comes across as a good brew. The fact that it is refreshing really ups the drinkability. This is a beer I would want to try on a hot day. This is one of the best American Macros I've had.
