Cerveza oscura, casi negra. Al servirla aparecen dos dedos de espuma burbujeantes de excesiva retención. De cuerpo medio y carbonatación alta. Aroma tostado y a vainilla. Muy poco amarga pero presenta un gusto mas a quemado que a tostado que no me resultó nada agradable.

From Carrefour. In Ikea's pint glass. Watching Better Call Saul 1x04. Insipid with a nice warming feeling. Nearly no foam.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Pours a black coffee brown colour. Nose has sweet notes of coffee, marzipan, brown sugar and chocolate. Tastes like a very well made porter with coffee, chocolate and smoke and a pleasantly dry finish. Creamy with mellow carbonation.

Deep black color with an off-white head with low retention.
Strong aroma of toasted malts, hazelnuts with hints of the darkest chocolate, and earth and minerals.
Taste follows nose, very toasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate, and notes of non-sweet hazelnut (I would identify something kind of nuts, but I probably could not tell it was hazelnuts if the bottle didn’t say it). More hoppy than expected, very earthy. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness that comes from everywhere, its toasted malts, hops and maybe the hazelnut.
Light to medium body with medium carbonation.
This is much better than their Picant version. Decent beer, worth a try.

330 ml. bottle. Black colour with a brown head, looks alike a Guinnes or some other stout. The head dissapears quickly, but all the while and some lace. Smell: At first it smelled to me like a red wine, then coffee, chocolate, hazelnuts and toasted notes appeared. Very promising, but... very thin in the palate, watery. And the taste, i don't think the aromas transferred to it, only hints of chocolate, milk, coffee and hazelnuts Good, but it can be better, I'll try it again in the future.

Last of the girlfriend's barcelona haul. I thought avellanes meant strawberries but I now think it actually means hazelnuts.

A- Very dark brown with very little beigeish head. Not exactly appealing. Subsequent vigorous pours allowed a nicer head to form but retention and lacing are still kind of poor.

S- A bit like chocolate covered fruit. Quite a nice chocolate Milk
aroma with a red berry edge. Feel this might taste a bit metallic. Molasses , Red Wine and unhopped wort as it warms. Really turned to a chocolate porto smell at room temp which i thought was nice. But didn't transfer into the taste or work with the thin body.

T- Very light flavor. Seems to be some strawberry in here but nothing I haven't already tasted in all malt beers. Milky finish. A bit of cigarette smoke in the aftertaste. Too watery in my opinion.

M- Medium carbonation. Medium Body. Foams up nicely. Pretty dry.

O- Thought I'd warm up to this after an unconvincing first sip but I think I'm liking it less and less. Lacks flavor and the flavors it does offer are kind of strange. Third of a 33cl bottle would be enough.

Poured into a pilsner like small glass.

Dark brown coffee colored, with a small creamy head that dissipates rather quickly, almost leaves no lacing at all, the smell gives hints of coffee, nuts and malts, the flavor at the beginning it's overpowered with the coffee and decreases after a few zips, very high carbonation feel, little bit bitter and very thin.

I would drink it again if it's for free but I would not spend my money on it

The name of the beer means "Black Rosita with hazelnuts from Alcover". Got the beer directly in the brewery.

Pours very dark brown, almost black with foamy off-white head that slowly fades to a tan ring, some patchy lacing. Aroma is rather strange smelling sweetish roasted malt. Not sure if is hazelnuts I feel there, but it is quite unusual.

Taste is unusual as well - plesant (can not define the taste though) sweetish malt with very low citrus like hops, medium dry finish that dries out slowly, slowly and long lasting bittery roasted (coffee like) aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light-medium with moderate carbonation and smooth light warming alcohol sensation.

I think this is the most interesting and the best beer from Rosita, very refreshing. Would buy again, if it would be possible to get one outside Catalonia.
