22 oz. bomber, picked up at the local Whole Foods,
A: Pours a clear goldenrod with a medium light white head, some nice lace.
S: Sage, very herbal, and honey. This smells like springtime, just lovely.
T: I was wondering how this would compare to their brewery only Spring Ale which was fantastic and rich with herb and honey flavours. Good direct bready malt flavours, hints of honey and sage. This is more to the English tilt of the beer spectrum.
M: Quite dry, considerable more than the Spring Ale. Refreshing, soft carbonation, crisp.
O: This is certainly a good beer, the flavours are solid, and the spice is nice. I miss the classic Spring Ale, perhaps they still have it on-tap, this feels like a dry facsimile. Don't get me wrong, it's quite a nice effort, but when I had the opulent honey character of the Spring Ale, that's what I would want to go into distribution.
