Very Good
Notes: ur unfiltered, dry-hopped IPA packs a copper- colored aromatic punch. Herbal and earthy hops take center stage, tempered by light caramel flavors. Crisp and refreshing, it’s a hop lover’s dream.

From a single 12 oz. can, into a snifter. Extremely solid rendition of a WCiPA, here, with a great malt backbone -- nice breadiness and not overly caramalty -- and very pleasant mix of gentle piney and grapefruity hops...not too aggressive, but good gentle bitterness along with some round fruity notes. Substantial body without being heavy. Moderate to high carbonation. Nothing crazy, just a really solid and very satisfying ipa. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for another.

From a can. Amber color with two fingers of tan-colored head. Toasted malt smell, maybe a little floral hop. Medium body. Malt-forward taste with pine and floral hop flavors and lingering bitterness. A good all-around IPA.

Pours a lighter copper color with small thumb sized off white head.

Aroma is light caramel malts mellow floral and herbal notes. Kind of mellow side for an IPA have had hoppier pale ales.

Taste is like the nose descent caramel base light up flavors more herbal then anything. Finish is lingering light bitterness. Again a good pale ale? Not the freshest but only 11 weeks old.

Mouthfeel is medium with peppy carbonation, seems to suit this beer fine.

Overall eh would not recommend this, want an IPA with some bite upgrade to the Snake Handler.

Drinking from the tap always gives the best flavor, head or not. This is no exception. Beautiful golden color width a flavorful start and nice finish.
A must for any good night with the boys.

I've had this a couple of times, both from a can and on draft at a downtown Mellow Mushroom in Nashville for Thanksgiving 2017. It was very tasty, though not especially bitter. I'd say floral.

I also tried their pale ale, which was not as good, and the coffee oatmeal stout, which was terrific.

Great copper color with thick head and proper lacing. Smells more malty and bready than citrus. Taste is very hop forward with over carbonation. Feels a little thick and sharp. Overall this a very good IPA if you want that extra hoppy taste. A standard for IPAs.

16 oz. Draft at my fave wings/brew locale. Had this with a hot hot order of wings, so flavor profile might be better than reviewed. Poured nice with deep copper color and small but persistent head. Hoppy smell and nice pine aroma. First gulp was hoppy on the front but mellows nicely. Dry on palate. Good mouthfeel and not overwhelming. Real good pairing with spicy food. Nice job Bama!

A truly good IPA. There are so many good offerings here at Good People that it fades a bit. Bit there is a good hop profile and good mouthfwel to this offering.

A: Orangey, copper color, large off white head,
S: Fruity, floral hoppy smell
T: A slight sweetness up front, then a splash of hoppy bitterness. The hoppy bitterness really takes center stage with a little malty balance.
M: Medium
O: A decent IPA from a my favorite brewery from the neighboring state to my west.

3/30/18...golden colored, white foam. Limited notes here, so will just add that there is a really peppery bitter, both in the nose and the taste. Smooth malt underneath, which makes this very drinkable.

I can't remember who threw this in for me as a thank you for picking up some Eclipse beers, but thank you very much, generous selection of stuff here. Pours a copper color with 1/3" white head on the top. The aroma is similarly copper and brassy.

Taste has a smattering of caramel and crystal malt to it. Comes off as Cascade hops. This is like a slightly less caramel and bitter SNPA from the south. It doesn't do anything wrong but its definitely an ipa from a bygone era. This was back when they paired a healthy does of C hops and C malt in the PacNW. I could certainly see how a few of these would be a welcome addition to a day on the water. Can prolly make these decently affordable too.

12oz canned 9/25/17 (5 months ago) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp, no ABV listed on can. The beer pours slightly hazy honey amber in color with sticky, persistent khaki head. The aroma is semisweet caramel and a little pine. The taste is more of the same. Semisweet caramel with a tea-like hop bitterness on the end. Maybe a touch of oxidation. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, well carbonated and dry in the finish. Overall, I'm guessing this was alright when fresh. Rated to the average and will try again if I wander south again.

12 oz can from ATL with a September 2017 canning date.
Pours a clear, deep amber color with a towering, foamy, durable, bone-colored head.
This IPA has a relatively high malt load, limiting the bitterness and adding some nice notes of caramel and baked bread. Hoppy finish.

Poured a copper color with an off white light head that dissapated quickly. No lacing on the glass. Small hint of a caramel on the nose. Medium mouth feel with a bready malt backbone. The hops hit you a little at the back end of the taste. Not a terrible IPA.

Poured from a can into a Spiegelau IPA pint glass. Well balanced IPA, with aspects true to Good People's product description. Solid unfiltered beer, with bitterness at the end.

Served in a pint glass from tap. Head was off white and fairly thick. Color of beer is amber. Nose isn't too hoppy and taste follows with medium happiness. Good beer.

Looks and smells fantastic. The hops cut you in the throat after your first sip but that subsides the further you get into it. Very bready/malty/biscuit backbone. Not to much fruit or hops. It's a strange brew, but I did it.

This is a good tasting beer. It smells great and has a hearty bitterness that feels perfect.
I had heard an interview with Good People reps on the Beer Guys Radio show and ran out to Ale Yeah Decatur as soon as I had found out some of their product had landed here in Atlanta. It lives up to the expectations.

A solid offering from Good People! A somewhat subdued hop profile on the nose. Lemon and grassy hops balance with a malty sweetness. The taste is way more pronounced. Pineapple, apple tartness, and light citrus notes prevail. A quick, hoppy dryness takes over the back end. The body is a little heavy for this IPA. I feel like it either needs a little more booze to be a DIPA or a little less malt to make it a bit more sessionable. Its kind of stuck in the middle.

Overall, this is a really nice IPA. Good People makes good beer and this is no exception.

Thumbs up. Just the right amount of hops for my taste with a great "feel." This was a recommended growler fill at a cool place called "The Filling Station" in Nashville. Made for a nice porch sitting beverage.

Surprised this wasn't higher - this was the hidden gem I didn't expect during a recent golf trip to 'Bama.
L - clear amber with a solid head that dissipates just a tad faster than I'd want. But if you're drinking it out of the can - that's kind of irrelevant, which I did 3 of the 5 times I had this.
S - Flora, pine and a bit of citrus
T - same as the smell, but it's got a muted bitterness that I really like
F - loved the mouthfeel - the right level of thickness
O - great beer, glad I had it 5 times on my trip!

Light copper/amber with a thinner lightly creamy white head. It does have good retention and leaves nice soapy sheets of lacing. The aroma is lighter but has good floral and pine qualities to it. The taste is much the same, with more pine hops than floral and a nice background malt sweetness. The malt is barely noticeable but provides a good counter. The body has a nice medium weight to it with a tad too much carbonation.

Pours a clear amber with a 2 finger head. Smells of earthiness, hoppy, and tea leaf. Starts with subdued hop taste, finishes with bitter bite. Thin mouthfeel. It has the bite of super juicy APAs without taste. Strange. Tried to read the date on bottom of can but it was pushed off center to where I couldn't tell. Decent lacing. Wouldn't buy again.

Edit: 04/16 - Had this again from the tap and had a more pleasant experience. Seemed cleaner with a better mouthfeel. Re-rated.

L-Nice amberish-orange murky ipa with a solid one finger head.
S-I get a strong boozy smell with a piney/floral and citrusy smell that comes afterwards.
T-I really do enjoy the taste. It came off as a bit bitter at first, but as I continued to drink it I was pleasantly surprised with great flavors of biscuit, citrus, and pine.
F-The carbonation works well with the flavor of the beer. Moderate enough to make the drinking easy.
O-Overall, a really good ipa. To me, this beer is either on the highest end of mediocre ipas or the lowest end of great ipas. There isn't anything special, but they know how to brew at Good People. If you're in Birmingham, I would stop by and check these guys out. Solid ipa.
