Our unfiltered, dry-hopped IPA packs a copper- colored aromatic punch. Herbal and earthy hops take center stage, tempered by light caramel flavors. Crisp and refreshing, it’s a hop lover’s dream.

Finally, my first beer from Alabama!
L: very slightly hazed amber body; tall & frothy beige head holds good retention and leaves chunky lacing down the glass
S: caramelized grain, bread crust, pine, citrus
T: caramel, bread, grain, earthy pine, pithy grapefruit, herbal
F: medium body, quite resinous, ample carbonation, bitter finish with pine lingering
O: good old school type IPA

Good People IPA has a fairly-thick, off-white head and a translucent, orange appearance, with lots of heavy lacing. The aroma is of hop resins and white bread crust. The favor is of white bread crust, strong piney bitterness, and a touch of fruit. G.P. IPA has a high-medium body and a dry finish.

Similar to Dogfish Head 90 Minute, just with a bit more bitter aftertaste.

Its very drinkable & good flavor, may not be in top craft class but has a nice tone of Martineau that reminds of West Coast hay day. Will try more of Good Peoples as I can find.

Wonderful take on a West Coast IPA from a respected Alabama brewer. Both epic football fanbases in the state (Alabama and Auburn) agree that Good People is the best brewer in the state (see reference below). I never hesitate to recommend their flagship IPA (or, in the spring, their incredible Hitchhiker IPA) to those from my California-based corporate office visiting Opelika - and they all have absolutely loved the beers. The IPA is essentially my house beer and I love it every time I drink it. Perfect balance of hops and malt with a lovely (slightly) floral nose and gorgeous amber color.. Alabama can absolutely do things right!!

Appearance: copper color with Amber Hughes. Off-white foam head. Good retention.
Aroma: Carmel malts, citric peel, with floral qualities.
Taste: Carmel malts up front, herbal and citrus in the background. Finishes clean.
Overall: quite pleased with this one.
