This Double IPA brew is a spirited celebration of all things hoppy. Aromas of pine, citrus, flowers, spice, pineapple, and grassiness complement a biscuit and caramel backbone. Hands down, our most requested beer.

Poured from 12oz can into pint glass (all I had at the time). On the dark end of an ipa, but still fairly clear and a nice copper. Smell is a bit like cooked oranges and sugar. Taste is super malty for an ipa, but the bitterness cuts through it all. Bitterness doesn’t linger and all that’s left is a very rich and fulfilling mouthfeel. Overall a solid double with a huge abv (may want to call this an imperial). Very pleasant but not very crushable. This is a sipper.

Twelve ounce can.Looks golden amber.Head is thick and clinging.Smell is mild, malty, not really a great deal of hops, but my nose isn't what it used to be.Quite carbonated, biscuit malt up front, then boom, bitterness of a real IPA.Not some orangy grapefruit mess, but actual bitterness.Yes!The 10% is VERY well hidden,be careful out there.

Tasted on draught at World of Beer in Destin, FL.
L - Dark gold verging on copper. Good clarity. Fluffy, long-lasting white head.
S - Citrus and light pine hops blend with some bread and brown sugar from the malt.
T - Hops give grapefruit and low pine, which is balanced by bready malt. Not overly complex, but good flavors.
F - Medium body with some lingering sweetness. Moderate carbonation. Moderate to high hops bitterness. Low alcohol presence for the stated ABV.
O - A good DIPA, but comes across as a bit restrained. I’d call it an IPA in a blind taste test, but there’s nothing here to dislike.

Appearance: Pours a copper amble color, with a smooth white foam head.
Aroma: Carmel malts, citrus and pine.
Taste: a nice smack of Carmel malts, herbal dankiness and citrus hops. Mellow but present bitterness, slight alcohol esters, a somewhat lingering finish.
Overall: very nice.

Very nice example of a slap your face IPA with generous hoppiness but not overwhelming bitterness. The caramel base totes a citrusy, piney, and spicy flavor profile that shines through the nose along with hints of honey and flowers. The example I tasted was kicking the keg so my judgement on the mouthfeel and look might be unfair. I didn’t get much lace and it seems a bit dry but with an IBU of 100, one would expect some dryness. Overall though, I think this beer is in the top 10% of IPAs I have had the pleasure of sampling.
