I love this beer! Don't drink more than 3! Haha. Delicious out of a can and delicious on tap. Pours nicely. For a 10% you definitely have to respect it, because it's easy to drink and too many will have you HAMMERED. No overpowering tastes and significantly better than their regular ipa.

Canning date is smeared but this is definitely fresh (probably 3 weeks old based on other postings). Poured into a snifter.

Golden orange-copper orange in color with 1.5 finger off white head that very slowly fades to very nice ring and nice full cap.

Dank, earthy, and pine aromas hit you first and then some citrus and tropical notes with some malts.

Taste similar to nose with some citrus and tropical fruits briefly at first but mostly dank, earthy, and pine with balanced malt backbone.

Medium body with slight alcohol burn and dry, bitter finish.

A very good IPA but a little boozy.

12 oz can poured into pint glass canned on 1/9

A: Nice creamy small bubbled off white head. Body is a hazy light caramel orange.

S: Nice grapefruit, orange, with a little resin and some hints of caramel malts

T: Lots of the orange and grapefruit with a sharp bitter resiny taste then a hefty malt backbone.

M: Nice medium body with a little bit of a carbonation bite, but not overly carbonated. Slight alcohol burn on the finish.

O: This is a nice citrus and malty DIPA. Mostly if you are used to DIPAs with almost no malt characteritics you probably wont care for this. Surprisingly bitter for a DIPA.

Very very good.... Boozy? Slightly... Delicious? Definitely... Loaded with citrus... Like a Damn Sun Drop on steroids... Been desiring a shot at this one for a few years now... Not disappointed.... Excellently put together... The grain backbone is there and provides some body but this is all about that grapefruit and orange... At 10%, there's a little booze here but it doesn't bother me...

Like it a lot... Glad I grabbed a couple of 4 pks...

Poured into a snifter from a one-week old can. A moderately hazy burnt orange color with a frothy off-white head. Nice lacing as the foam slowly settled. The nose was a bit restrained and featured oranges, grapefruit, and a bit of bread. A big punch of bitter grapefruit pith on the first sip, with mixed in earthy and piney notes. A solid and balanced malt presence. A bit boozy and dry on the finish but a great DIPA.

Copper orange color, big off white head, chunky lacing. Soft citrus, boozy, and hoppy aroma. Notes of grapefruit peel, crushed bitter herbs, pine and dank resinous hops. Medium toward full body, alcohol heat comes through a bit, strong linger from a heavy coating on the pallet.

Loved this beer, probably more than their single IPA which was really good. Sweet smell, pours with a solid head that foams down a bit but slowly to leave a good feel to it. Tastes sweet, hoppy, and then a tad bitter all in a row - but what I'll say for sure - this beer hits you with a lot of flavor from sip to swallow.

Pours a hazy yet vibrant orange with a decent sized foamy white head that provides terrific, picture perfect lacing throughout. Nose is candy sugar sweet citrus, like a Two Hearted on steroids. Get past that initial sweetness and a little floral hint sneaks in. While not overwhelming in a west coast or NE kind of way, the taste is solidly pleasant up front as the sweetness comes through immediately, only to be runoff by a very precise grapefruit bitterness. Like actually taking a bite of grapefruit. Finish maintains the bitterness but in a slightly different taste, as dandelion seems to work its way in.

Pour is a semi clear, copper off-orange color. Maintains a tight white bubbled ring of head that lasts. Smell is primarily sweet malt, with a resinous oily hop presence and hints of orange peel. Taste is that same big malty bomb, hints of pine and a subtle booziness. Mouthfeel is a little mouth coating, pretty low carbonation and a little oily. Overall, not a beginners IPA and definitely big malts, and in your face.

Pours clear, bright yellow in color, with 1/4 inch head. Taste is dank hops, hemp, and grapefruit. Medium bodied and bitter. Makes for a solid sipper. I have other DIPAs I prefer, but this one is good and worth a try.

L-Very hazy Orange Copper color, with linger white head.
S-Descent hop aroma but not a total punch in the face
T- Very Balanced no alcohol heat. Have given this DIPA to non DIPA drinkers and they thought it was amazing.
F-Very heavy and viscous due to all the hop oil and being 10%
O- I personal find this beer to be amazing and worth the trip to get it once a year.

This is one well balanced and easy drinking dipa. Definitely hard to believe this bad boy is 10 percent, abv is definitely well hidden, though I definitely felt it after a few. Nice hop profile, not overly sweet. I can see why this one is so well regarded.

Poured on draft.

A: Pours a copper orange with a full off-white head that maintains nicely and laces throughout.

S: Solid and well-balanced notes of piney and citrus hops.

T: Big pine and citrus hops up front with a nicely pronounced bitterness. Finishes clean. Citrus settles on the back end, with lasting bitterness taking a while to settle in.

M: The bitterness creates a little astringency for me, has a nice tight carbonation.

O: For a DIPA and considering I don't care for big hop bombs, this one has a great hop profile and isn't overwhelmingly bitter. A great beer, nicely well-balanced.

Pours a golden cooper . Ordered on tap by the time it was brought to me had only a slight trace of a head. Smells of grapefruit but taste less bitter than the smell . I didn't like this beer at first but the taste grew on by the time the glass was empty.

Pours a dark gold going to a copper-orange. 1 finger cream colored head doesn't last too long but leaves good lacing.

Rather pungent aroma. Pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruits. Big caramel malt. Cut grass and mango.

Big hops flavors, pine being what I get first. Grapefruit, lemon, and grass. Some peppery spice and sharp floral notes. Malt at the end, caramel and biscuit.

Medium body with medium carbonation. Fair amount of bitterness. Lingering pine.

Really nice DIPA. Strong hops with a variety of different aspects to it. Good malt balance.

Here is another beer that has been on my want list for quite a while. A friend of mine was gracious enough to make a trip down to Nashville to pick these up for us.

The poor generates a solid 2 inches of frothy light beige head. Bubbles are big and fade and medium rate leaving a scattered wall of lace. Body is a deep classic Amber in tone. Nose is very resinous with lots of sticky piney hops back by a nice multi bill. I am taken quite nicely by how well this beer is balanced as soon as I take first sip. Don't get me wrong I know A lot of those hop loving diehards really enjoy that punch you in the face hop character, in this one still packs a lot of hops. The Hops develop more on the backend of the pallet with a Piney dry character. Overall I really enjoyed this beer and I think that it would go to a whole Nother level with just a little bit more floral or citrus contrast.

Nice looking copper color, slightly off-white head, settles to ring around the glass. Foam sticks to side of glass.

Not much hop aroma, bit of alcohol on the nose.

Hops comes through as bitterness, strong bitter aftertaste. Bit of alcohol flavor and burn.

Kinda coats the tongue, bitterness lingers.

My review doesn't seem like kind words, but overall a very good brew. Does not list the ABV, but the alcohol is noticeable. Not necessarily a bad thing for a big DIPA. Not a ton of hop flavor or aroma, but lots of bitterness.

12 oz can. Pours bright clean copper orange, two finger white head slowly fades, rings of lace. Not much nose but a bit of mild bread and citrus. Taste is malt forward with some big pine and woodsy earthy hops coming in. Some alcohol burn in the end. Thin but slick mouthfeel. Decent DIPA but not on the level I was expecting.

Have had canned and draft. Both equal in quality.

Pours a beautiful orange/golden color with a nice white head. Lacing is perfect.

The aroma is citrusy, right up front that it's a hop bomb of a beer.

The flavor is, again bursting with citrus. Hints of pineapple with some caramel undertones. A little malt on the back end with some bitterness, but very subtle. This beer is dangerously drinkable for being 10%. The booziness is wonderfully hidden. I've tried several other beers with a lower ABV that had a stronger alcohol presence.

Overall, this is definitely one of my favorite DIPAs. Get your hands on some if you can.

Can pour. Orange color with half an inch of head. Aroma is mostly pine. Taste follows the nose with a nice bitterness at the end. For a 10% beer, I didn't get a lot of alcohol. I've been wanting to try this beer for a while and it did not disappoint. Hard to find, but worth the hunt.

Poured from the tap at Good People Brewing. The appearance is a stunning orange color with a small off-white head. The aroma is chock full of malt and caramel and you can barely smell the substantial ABV. The flavor is incredible. Big caramel with citrus and some hops. A fantastic DIPA

Bright copper pour, surprisingly pleasant pine aroma. Strong hops edge and ABV, as expected. Oak and citrus undertones, probably my favorite double IPA.

Not sure about the can date, but assuming its fresh like i was told, this is a dissapointment.

Nothing but malts and a little alcohol note. The best part about this beer is in the nose where you get sweet tropical fruits. But you take a sip and just a complete malt bomb.

Can - best guess is canned 12/23/2014 from labeling:
This beer pours a lovely, orange-tinged yellow-golden. It's hazy at least, cloudy is a stretch. The head is quite lovely, sitting atop the beer with only a mildly aggressive pour for quite a while. Lacing is strong.

Nose is a bit disappointing compared to the visual aspects. It's sort of ambiguous, the obvious one note coming out is onion, which is (spoiler alert) not indicative of the beer. I get a light citrus note also, but overall, the nose is close to a fail for me. (Note: GF indicated a very light citrus note, but not much else, including onion. We both agree her nose is mildly defective, though ;).

Taste is a tad on the malty side, caramel to citrus candy sweet, but muted compared to other beers with a similar profile. Perhaps it's how the bittering nature counters quickly. The feel is carbonated up front, but still a tad thick. I do get onion in the taste, but the grapefruit rind I get a bit more. The final feel, however, ends up a tad oily, not nearly as dry as I'd like.

I am glad I got to try this beer. I think this is a solid DIPA, but a tad overrated as of this review. It's slightly woody/grassy drying, despite its lack of the equivalent obvious taste profile.

Sigh . . . Must have gotten my hands on an old can. Way to malty. If this can is anywhere close to being fresh I am having trouble seeing this being a world-class beer.
