Look: It pours very dark brown with a brown head. Head retention is excellent.
Smell: There are roast aromas with caramel.
Taste: There are smooth roasted elements with some toast. There is a very low level of caramel and cola. The flavors are balanced towards the sweet side.
Feel: It has a smooth texture with a sweet aftertaste.
Overall, this is more like a well put together schwarzbier than a red ale. However, with that being said it's easy drinking and favorable.

Deep amber hue with roasted malt and kona coffee on the nose that segues into flavors of dark chocolate, salted caramel, and espresso with a quasi creamy medium bodied mouthfeel and a succulent finish. For those, like myself, who find IPAs and Porters too sweet and fruity this classic red ale hits the sweet spot.

Drinking this from a can poured into a pint glass.
Appears dark red, foamy head that dropped quickly.
Smells coffee, malty, bready.
Taste follows the nose.
Mouth feel is medium plus for the style.
Overall, it's a slightly heavier version of an amber ale, we all want a little more, right? I would definitely order again.

Look: Dark, brown, red hues when held in the light. About a finger of head that fades slowly, but surely into a decent lacing.
Smell: The smell consists of roasted malts and coffee like notes. The smell is kind of one dimensional to me. That’s why I rated it lower. It smells sweet and smokey. It’s nice but not the best. The hops are ever so slightly if at all.
Taste: The taste mirrors the smell, but in a nice way. It is semi-sweet with a smokey characteristic that is quite pleasant. The bitterness, much like it says on the can, is low. Hop character isn’t really present. Instead, the smokiness does the bittering itself. The roasted barley adds complexity that is undeniable. It leaves an aftertaste of roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate.
Feel: The mouth feel on this one is surprisingly medium. It’s roasted barley character gives it a certain stickiness, but it is not overwhelming. It’s creamy but dry, leaving you wanting more.
Overall: It sits easy on the stomach and isn’t too heavy. I’ve had two and will probably have a couple more. It is an easy drinking beer and goes down smooth. It’s comparative to a very smokey Guinness draught, only less heavy. I suggest this beer to anyone who can get it. If you want something dark, slightly sweet, with very low bitterness that sets easy with your stomach. This is a supreme choice. However, be careful. The 7.50% ABV is hidden well.
Cheers! And happy drinking!

Pours a dark brown almost black , some brownish red hues when held to the light. thumb sized tan head falls quick little lace.
Aroma is light roasted malts, light coffee notes maybe some black patent malts, light nuttiness. Not really red ale but good.
Taste is like the nose light roasted malt notes,, some coffee notes, lightly chalky but smooth and dry finish. Some lingering roasted almost peat notes in the finish with touch of herbal hops to balance. Guess this is what happens to a Red Ale when it catches fire since it is in remembrance of the great fire in 1901.
Mouthfeel is lighter side of medium smooth carbonation.
Overall not sure what to do with this beer, its not really an Red Ale more like a Schwarzbier or a lighter porter. But overall its not a bad beer, smooth easy drinking good flavors and light enough to enjoy in the Florida heat maybe when a darker beer would be too much.
