A: Poured a hazy gold almost amber color into a pint glass, the head was relatively large white in color it dissipated rather quickly leaving a fair amount of lacing.
S: At first there is a hint of yeast, a subtle sweetness that is then over taken by hops, on the whole however the scent is weak, one has to really sniff right over the glass to draw in the scent.
T: The taste is light slightly bitter upfront, towards the end a very very mild sweetness is noticeable mixed in with a malty character
M: On the whole it has a very light feel, not very much carbonation though not flat the best way to describe it is thick though this is contradictory with its light character. I am not sure if I really like or dislike this seemingly contradictory feel it is admittedly very unique.
O: I'm a bit mixed on this one, the flavor is enjoyable and its slight complexity keeps one coming back for more, however the weak scent and what i would call bizarre feel are turnoffs. Perhaps this can was an outlier perhaps these are the desired traits of the style I'm not sure. Overall though it's not too bad and for something that is just as drinkable as a Bud and not much more expensive it's not a bad deal either.

Killer Whale Cream Ale by Bold City Brewery Jacksonville Fl. 5.5% alcohol.
A- Pours a calm yellowish orange fluid that produces a small white head leaving light if any lacing.
S- Slight citrusy scent and mild malts are in the nose.
T-M- Taste is a small bite of citrusy hops and mild malty backbone. Mouthfeel is smooth but lacking on the creamy side but all and all drinkable.
O- Drinkable as hell if at the right price.

Bold City Cream Ale
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into my DFH Signature glass
A: Pours a cloudy, straw colored yellow with no head.
S: Like a generic lager with some lemon and a little funkiness.
T: Bland, tastes like a cheap lager i.e. Budweiser; I thought this was supposed to be a cream ale, where’s the ale? Where’s the cream? Maybe some slight lemon flavor.
M: Same, Generic and slightly skunky despite only buying this two weeks ago.
O: Not impressed, better than PBR that’s about it. C

Hazy golden in color. Aroma hints of yeast, bread and a flour tortilla, wheaty bready. Not an awful beer but not my favorite

This is a light ale brewed in Jacksonville Florida. It is a easy beer to drink, and if you want something simple to enjoy while talking with friends. It is far better than any of the corp light beers, but dont expect a IPA here either.
A- light golden colour, small head about the size of a finger.
S- bread, roasty
T- just like the smell, a very bready taste, sweet
M- light, thin, smooth
D- very drinkable, little aftertaste.

Mild, creamy ale that is easy to drink and pleasant on the tongue. Lacks a bit of flavor depth. Would buy again.

Well it fits the style its a ale like bud, decent but nothing great in fact most of Brain beers with the exception of the IPA and white wheat ale, taste all about the same good but bland. I mean its beer, it gives you a buzz and its local fresh and cheap, if it was not Cheap I would not buy it to be honest. Seems its too 7 b like to me, the guy needs to break out and do something different.
A: clear yellow , no yeast, its filtered, little head when poured into a pint glass maybe 1/2 inch tops
S: some bread, very very faint hops
T: crisp, clean, bland, some what pilsner like, BMC like, not my favorite, some light bread, no hops
M: lite body, kind of watery
D: it goes down ok, but has a twang after taste, I did not think it was that great its decent but I did not want another.

Bold City Brewery "Killer Whale Cream Ale"
12 oz. can, coded "344 14 14:35"
$2.29 @ Total Wine @ More #901, Tampa, FL (uggh, I could've bought it at Winn Dixie in Jacksonville for $1.66)
Killer Whale Cream Ale pours a hazy (not to style) deep gold body beneath a short-lived head of bright white that drops to just a thin collar and leaves little lacing behind.
The aroma is clean with the exception of a light touch of sulphur and some yeastiness, and expresses a pleasant combination of grainy malt and apple-like fruitiness.
In the mouth it's light and crisp. A touch more carbonation might give it a little zip.
The flavor delivers the malt promised in the nose, with a wider, fuller character. It remains grainy in a good way, and backed by a minimal amount of hop flavor it becomes a bit grassy. It's only lightly sweet, and a limited, restrained bitterness balances it. The gentle fruitiness gives it life, and it's really quite pleasant and easy to drink, finishing dry with some residual grainy malt and a hint of grassy and leafy hops.
Although it doesn't quite match the specifications for a mainstream "cream ale" (mainly clarity, some aromatics), it's quite a nice beer in its own right (and I don't know any craft brew drinkers who are too into clarity). Quaffable might be a good word to use to describe it!
