Was @ the 3rd anniversary. Got a few beer coolies. tried the stuff that was aged in a whiskey barrel was nearly undrinkable it was so bad. Needless to say I have no reason to ever go back the beer is just not worth it.

I been 18 times now, the last 9 to drink 1 pint (well its not really a pint) and get the growler refilled. While I like this tiny bar how OTHERS can give it a 4.5 in vibe, well lets just say they aint much room to a 5, and if this place is a 4.5 well I eat my BA shirt. Too many folks need to travel and see better places, while i am all for boosting j-ville, overrating places does NOT ONE any good.

They used to give free samples. Now you have to promise to buy 1 beer to get a "free" sampler, still its not bad deal.

The growler refilling well lets just say it depends on WHO refills it. Most of the growlers have stayed fresh for about 2 days after that it goes downhill fast. I think the best beers are the porter and the red and old ales.
The IPA is not my thing, and some of the new wheat beers are good. its local and fresh so try it yourself.

Service is funny, they can have 5 folks working there and if their talking you have to wait, otherwise its fast, but the place is tiny. The fun part is when the trains go by, as the tracks are like 40 feet away. Most times service is great, I mean its small you can just say i want another beer and they hear yea, unless a train rolls by.

You can now get kegs there now, and they have like 9+ beers now. They are fresh and tasty, nothing outstanding but fairly good stuff. sadly the porter just ran out. oh its seasonal now oh well.

Anyway Growlers are 20 and 25 if you don't have the 1 gallon bottle yet, the refills are 10 and 15 dollars. So that is a good deal.

Its just a small tap room ran by the mother of the brewer and their friends, tbh they don't really know much about beer(the brewer does, just not the rest), but they are nice folks and they are learning.

They give free tours, of course its a warehouse with a tap room, so not really much to see.

They do have food on weekends you can buy from someone that makes it outside, its just like Orlando brewing that way, but sadly parking and seating are not as good.

The bar and bar seats really suck as its poorly designed and you hit your knees constantly ON ROCK, the tables are better.

Not much to do or see in there so we usually only have 1 or 2 and get the growler and go. Recommend if you live close by, if not its not really worth traveling 100's of miles to get to YET....
They talking about a few casks soon, so who knows.

Enjoy. I always go wearing my black BA beer geek shirt so If you see me say hello.

Current prices: Unless prices have changed it was $3.50 for the small beers (12 to 14oz), and $5.50 (22oz)for the large beers.

some of the pints are 5 dollars as they are for some charity thing.

Great place to meet friends and have a brew or 2. Low key, unpretentious. Locals abound. Nice little bistro with great food attached. Beers are tasty, and reasonably priced. Could use more seating and the neighborhood is borderline, but not scary. Occasionally have live music.

Started going to this place when it first opened, but have not been back in a while due to distance and lack of coworkers. We used to really enjoy our visits for the most part. Once I was even firmly scolded by one of the founders for drinking my beers in the "wrong order" (heavier before lighter)! Thankfully I withheld sharing my personal, flexible philosophy of style order and just enjoyed the criticism, which showed they at least take a genuine interest in what they're doing. Normally when I went to this establishment it was with a wonderful boss who treated us, so this may color my perception favorably. Sometimes a large, slobbery, powerful looking dog would make its way around, though, and I was not much of a fan of that unless I happened to be drinking the beer and named after it.

As for the beers, guess I should finally get around to reviewing them (after what, 8 years? holy sh** how time has glided and scraped by), but overall they were decent, although I recall wishing for something bolder--particularly in view of the name they chose for the place. There was also a certain flatness and breadiness of flavor in most of the examples that I guess was attributable to the yeast, but that I partially associated with plastic (probably an erroneous association). Kind of an English essence, or at least something that reminded me of certain cask ales. No matter the cause, it became a somewhat endearing aspect of the experience. Wish I could go back (in time as well as place).

Had 3 different cream ales on tap out of 7 available the day I went, so selection was mediocre. Good pumpkin ale, and a decent pale ale. Tap room is modest size, but kind of a mish mash. Service was fantastic all around and they've got some great people working there!

Visited on Saturday September 5, 2015.

Excellent vibe, indoor and outdoor bars. The only bar I've been to were you are actually encourage to walk behind the bar. Every employee treated you like a regular.

They give you a free sampler, which I believe was supposed to be 6 beers but he gave us 8 - all the beers they currently had on tap.

The tour is where this place really shines. We were able to snag a tour with just my two friends and I - with one of the founders. Awesome dude, very informative tour about brewing. For those of us who already have a handle on the brew process, he was willing to dig deeper and talk about the business side of things.

The brews were reasonably priced from $3.50 to $5.50. Overall, visit if you want to be treated like family, grab some brews and food, play some games, and take an awesome tour.

Friendly and fun place to drink beer. First timers get a free tasting flight. Also the free tours on Saturday are informative if you want to learn more about beer. The tasting room is on the small side, but has a bar and tables with board games you can play. You can also sit outside or in a large area that is covered. We went before the food truck was serving, but I have heard it is good. Often have live music on the weekends. Liked the Mad Manatee IPA and Duke's Ale the best.

Always nice people, great cookout food, board games. I'm not into the bicycle crowd but I recommend stopping by for some good old school beers. Manatee is the way to go!

Got a private tour of the brewery the last time I went. They have a great setup. The staff is very helpful and their prices are very reasonable. The selection is not as robust as other breweries that I have visited but the quality is great. They need a stout or porter on tap!
