Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #45 (Oct 2010):

Shines bright and yellow with a good rim of lace. Cooked leafy hops, hint of sweet corn and some coarseness of animal feed grain in the nose. Lush lager smoothness and crispness in the lighter fluffiness. Fresh cut grass, very grainy and a bit rough around the edges. Hop bitterness comes across with a sharpness and vague herbal flavor. Hint of cooked corn sweetness in the middle, then it finishes grainy. A coarse lager to put down.

"SEP 2008" stamped on cap so I guess this beer is still considered fresh. It was brought back from Greece a few weeks ago as a gift from my Mom. Let's see how it measures up against the last beer from Zeos brewing (i.e., MAKEΔONIKH).

This beer looks like a pilsner, that is for sure. A bit smaller head than I might expect but it is rather cold. This is a very clear, golden-yellow beer with a nice thread of bubbles running through the middle of the glass like a mini-tornado.

Very subtle biscuit malt aroma with not much else. I don't really smell any hops at all and even the characteristic 'lager smell' is not readily apparent.

A hint of lagery flavor (earthy, herbal, clean, crisp) is certainly hiding in there. Unfortunately, there is some soury bitter flavor (this tastes more like a yeast by-product than an oxidation issue) that really taints my impression. The flavor really isn't that bad, it tastes like a lager brewery experimented with some brett. Unfortunately, I am willing to bet this was not the intention of the brewmaster.
