Consumed December 30th, 2013 at the brewery. ABV 5.6% ABV as noted on menu board. Brewery's website notes 5.0% ABV.

Medium yellow, slightly cloudy. Small white head. Some lacing.

Aroma is piney, citrusy hops with a hint of caramel malt in the background.

Flavor is hoppy: pine and grapefruit. Some caramel malt in the background. Not tasting the rye that the recipe includes. Moderately bitter finish.

Medium mouthfeel, proper carbonation.

Ever heard of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale? This seems like a virtual clone, but a little rougher around the edges.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, golden coloring, with a clingy, filmy, white head. Nose of citrus and green, with a piney and cedar hops character. Flavors have a citrus blend forward, with dank hops characteristics, as well. Grassy and grapefruit undertone, with caramel highlights. Smooth and mid-bodied, with a resinous and spiced hops aftertaste. The finish is slick and dry. Very solid, very balanced beer.
