A mildly hazy golden orange, this looks solid. The nose is a blend of sweet Munich and pilsner malt with a fruity hop character. There's honey, citrus, a little peach, candied oranges, a little sweet marmalade, Meyer lemons, and a clean lager yeast character. The palate opens sweet with honey, a light syrup, pilsner grainy flavors, a Munich malt like bready flavor. The mid palate has clean lager notes. Moderately sweet on finish with plenty of hop flavor and a mild bitterness. Stone fruit and citrus notes are clearly present as well. Solid stuff. As long as you go in expecting something along the lines of a Samichlaus, you're in for an enjoyable beer.

Tap at the brew pub.
Foamy creamy head, great lacing, hazy golden orange color.
Nose mild sweet grainy malt, toasty pilsner, little gristy raw bread dough hint of yeasty, mild fruity earthy hops, candied orange and stone fruit esters.
Taste big hops up front, little spicy, herbal mineral, mild fruity, fair bitterness, into malts, candied toasty pilsner malts, grainy doughy notes, little gristy, mild caramelized sugars, sweet candied pils. Finish semi sweet not sticky, lingering spicy earthy hops, not the Amarillo I expected.
Mouth is med bod, nice carb, no real booze.
