I think the beer selection at this place has improved based on what I saw given the other reviews.

There's a good sized cooler with singles as well as sixes, most of which is interesting craft beer. Plenty of Stone, DFH, Lagunitas, Green Flash, etc. Plus another wall opposite full of interesting bombers and bottles of guezes and stouts. Prices were good. I noticed that the Green Flash Imperial IPA had a little hand written tag above it that read, "Hop head? Try this!". Nice touch.

I was in town for only a few days so I just picked up a mix of IPAs and stouts, but would have liked to grab a whole lot more.

On the Whole Food spectrum of things, the selection at this one is pretty average really. You can find a decent amount of stuff here, but to me, it's the type of selection that should be standard. If you live in the area and don't want to have to travel far, sure it will definitely get the job done. But the whale sightings here are typically pretty thin, if at all.

Campbell Whole Foods probably has the smallest beer selection I've seen at a Whole Foods. That's not to say the selection is bad, as I've always found Whole Foods to be an excellent place for beer. It's just not as good as their other stores. I found many great beers here, such as Old Rasputin XII, for example.

The beer fridge is smaller than I'm used to seeing at Whole Foods, and that's probably a major reason they have a smaller than average selection. All the beer is in a cooler, with the exception of some specials they have out on the floor. Definitely beats anything else you can find in the San Jose area that I am aware of.

Stopped by because I heard they had some Abyss and FS12-they had neither-selection OK-not as good as regular grocery store. However, most of their beer is cold. Some Belgians like St.Bernadus Abt12 and a few other imports. Their strength is organic brews plus the house beer. A number of these organic brews are from North Coast. They also had several Anchor and SN beers including Celebration. I didn't buy anything but if you can find a beer here like Abyss even once in a while it is worth stopping by otherwise head to Bevmo.

You can usually find something good in a Bay Area Whole Foods store, and well, this is a Bay Area Whole Foods store. Located at the crowded intersection of Hamilton and Bascom just off of Highway 17, has a decend selection of local microbrews, some imports, and if your tastes happen to swing that way, Bud Light. Found a few special, like Alaskan 2008 Smoked Porter, and Deutsches Hop Trip. While there's no great place to buy beer in the South Bay, there are a lots of good places to buy beer down here, and this is one of them.
