This visit ocurred summer of 2006 - the head brewer was Dana Wolle at the time.
Went here on a family trip to The Dells. My wife planned a breakaway and snuck me away from her family for a couple beers here.
As described by others - Moosejaw hits it. Lodge style is pretty darn cool. This place is huge. I didn't try the food other than appetizers, so did not rate. The people next to us at the bar said pizza was good.
The head brewer used to be at Gray Brewing when their stout was great. Now it has slid to below mediocre. They did not have a stout on, so I tried the porter - Dana is still doing great work - excellent. Tried a couple others that also were well made.
If you are stuck in the Dells and want to get away, this is great choice.
