The Oak Creek Woodman's doesn't look like the kind of place that would have a fantastic beer selection, but it is. Looong coolers - taking up more than both sides of an entire aisle, if memory serves - are packed with a varied selection of beer from Around the world, with special attention to the Midwest. I was very pleased to find a few rarities like Red & White, Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout, Ommegeddon, and a bunch of Stone beers, and I was even more pleased with the selection of singles - it's not as good as Three Cellars, but it's pretty damn good.

The prices were great, too; they even give Discount a run for its money, though I think Discount still has them beat by a narrow margin on that.

Definitely worth visiting, and its convenient location near the airport ought to make it a must-go destination for out of towners.

Giant liquor store vibe. Friendly, courteous staff. Very busy with distributors stocking shelves. Limited release items behind the counter, and clearly identified on bulletin board. Humongous stock of beer from around the country as well as Wisconsin. Bombers and singles too. Impressive selection for a grocery store/liquor store.

I checked into this Woodman's for no practical reason but to see if their distribution is any different than the one in Menominee. It appears that it is the same which is no surprise and also not particularly a bad thing. Once again reasonable prices a evident and a broad scope of locally available beers, with only the rare releases for the most part being omitted. While this is an excellent choice for those passing through the area or in the locale in general, the variation of product between this store and the one in Kenosha (different distributor) is not substantial enough to warrant a visit to both stores. So in short, this store is on par with other Woodman's, which is always a good thing.

I frequent this establishment, and love it! They have a lot of great beers that are not always available (might be a bad thing...) I think Woodmans was the first big beer shop I went to and where I picked up my first love (Old Rasputin XII). They have a "build your own 6 pack" but its limited to mostly locals and a lot of the bottles available are out of date.

I do have to say that their beer wall is definitely a sight to be seen ITS MASSIVE!

The service is kind of crappy, but I guess that is because its huge and the people who work there are not really into craft beer so they get annoyed when you ask questions about different beers and quantities. Their pricing is really good for the most part but a few things are marked up a bit more than at other stores in the area.

Overall Woodmans is a great place to check out and the prices are fair. Especially if you're looking for something that is not readily available at liquor stores.

Stopped in here quick today, it is a different format form other Woodman's liquor stores. It is the same size but beer covers the 3 outer walls. On the left it is craft, singles, and Wisconsin brews, the back is import 6 packs and craft samplers, and the right is macros. There was also a mini nook with more macroish miports. All beer in coolers.

The singles selection was the largest of any Woodman's I've been to, some notables were Coton and other Bruery products.

The service is nil like most Woodman's and the quality of the store was top notch. The Quality of the selection is also the best of all the Woodman's.

Its on the southern, southern end of Milwaukee County, not really worth it in place of Discount, but it is a solid store.

I went there again and I noticed they had way more solid imports than I saw last time, even some stuff that discount doesn't have, they also have every macro lager under the sun, but still they can't compete with discount in selection.

I stopped here on the way from Milwaukee to Chicago, very easily accessible from 94, about 2 miles travel. This is a grocery store, a huge one too, with a separate liquor store with the beer.

The beer selection is uncommonly large for a grocery store. Hundreds of beers, from 6-packs to 4-packs to a wide variety of bombers, over 100 beers available in singles too. The selection of WI beers was especially good, with lots of Central Waters, New Glarus, Tyranena, Capitol Brewing, and so on. The Chicago area beers are actually cheaper than I've seen in most places in the city, including FFF and Goose Island, cheaper by roughly $1-2 per 6-pack or bomber.

What else is there to say, if you're driving through Chicago into WI this would be an excellent stop for WI goodness.

This store is in my regular rotation. I usally stop here at least once a week.

The beer selection is absolutely mind blowing. Sixers from every brewery that distributes to Milwaukee. All the locals are well represented. A fairly large single cooler that contains at least a hundred different beers. A moderate supply of american bombers. The opposite side of the american craft is all the foreign offerings. A fantastic array of belgians, english and irish beers. Along with a decent amount of latin and asian beers.

The back wall holds cases of many of the more popular craft brews and slowly melds into BMC that continues all the way back to the front of the store. This place is a BMC lovers wet dream. They have every style, pack, and bottle/can configuration known to man.

The prices rival Discount and sometimes are lower. I've found some great deals here.

Overall a great place to pick up sixers and cases of just about any craft beer. You just have to look for bottle dates since this isn't the type of place that has a quick craft turnover. Since a good amount of craft ages well this can be an advantage at times.

MUCH bigger than it looks. Woodman's is a decent stop for beer, although much of the beer is old or oldish. the liquor store entrance is right next to the front entrance to the market, and the beer is along the back wall, most of which is on coolers. the craft section is separated from the macro section (both are on opposite ends of the space). singles are offered, but not of every style offered in six-packs, just sporadic offerings that get chosen by some person for some reason.

quality and service are what one would expect from a grocery store, not too impressive, but the stock boys are great for finding certain styles.

selection is pretty massive, with many of the Wisconsin offerings that are standard throughout the state and a somewhat extensive craft stock from around the nation.

This is definitely the best Woodmans on the east side of the state. Madison is probably about the same in terms of selection, but whoa, is this place huge. You could lose an hour easily taking in the endless selection. Carts are just outside of the doors to the liquor dept. on the grocery side, sort of counterintuitive, but probably a traffic issue. Trust me, you will need a cart if this is your first time here...

Very broad local selection, many from NG, Central Waters, Tyranena, Capital, Viking, South Shore, Rush River, Ale Asylum (Grand Cru), Milwaukee Ale House, just about everything I could imagine (no O'so or Lake Louie, but 3 Cellars has those). Some regionals have creeped up to WI past IL, such as Upland and Keweenaw. Weyerbacher & Stone were nice to see. Solid imports too (Rochefort 10 for $6), Jolly Pumpkin Oro & Noel were somehow in the Belgian area. Very good prices, as expected for Woodmans. New Glarus cases were $27, GI BCS was under $20. To me, Discount still reigns Milwaukee, but this Woodmans definitely has much to offer.

Service at checkout was friendly, and they pointed out that there were six pack holders for the singles section. After looking at my receipt again, I was charged for a 6-pack of Keweenaw, when I only bought a $1.89 single can with a price label.

I was in this place for the first time last weekend. I had heard they had a good selection of US Craft/Micro brews (pretty much 90% of what I buy) and figured it would be another place with a nice little section. I was COMPLETELY MISTAKEN. As many of the other reviewers have noted, this is THE place to go for US Craft/Micro brews in the Milwaukee area. I host a beer tasting every winter and I could have easily gotten all the beer from the breweries I wanted righ here at Woodman's. In fact, that's what I will be doing next year. If you're in to good beer and you live in the Milwaukee area, this is the place to go. It's worth the trip.

I've been hearing about this place for a while and decided to make the trip. Found some stuff I loved that I haven't been able to find b/c it's out of season (Berliner Weiss, Furthermore's Fallen Apple - it's dryyy), but makes me wonder about their turnover. I'll test those beers later, but I think if they've been cooled and properly handled, they'll be fine. Pretty huge selection. I'd suggest taking a cart in there.
Prices seemed pretty reasonable.
I didn't see any staff besides the friendly checkout gal, but wasn't too bothered by it since I was just browsing and "impulse buying". Didn't see any Cantillon stuff.
I'll definitely be back.
