I love this place. Little surprised no one remembers me as I'm there quite a bit. Really enjoy the selection.

Though I did manage to hit a few breweries while in town with kids in tow, this was the only bottle shop I managed to stop at and it was good but not great (given my situation and expectations). The selection was solid but didn’t seem all that extensive. They had a respectable selection (though a lot I was hoping to find that they didn’t have) of local stuff, as well as some west coast (CA and WA offerings and a few east coast offerings that I rarely have a chance to buy), so…points in favor there. It isn’t like you’d ever go there and not find something great to drink…but, rightly or wrongly, I was hoping for more. The singles offerings were mediocre in quality and modest in number, a major bummer. They did have some nice larger single bottles.
It was a really attractively kept (and fancy) shop, in a nice neighborhood node, though, and the staff was really helpful.

Super worthy wine-booze-beer spot in the happening Highlands neighborhood of Denver.
Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful guy behind the register ….always a plus.
A load of quality locals, regionals and imports in the rear wall covering cooler units. They have a bunch of the local goodies in tall cans that you and many others are looking for….fine spot to cover your quality beer needs…well worth a visit if you are a local or a visitor

Great craft beer store in Denver. Absolutely great service and solid beer selection. Lots of CO and other west coast breweries. Good prices as well. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.

A-Mondo is medium to small sized store located in a nice, yuppy-ish neighborhood west of downtown Denver. The store has a nice urban-neighborhood feel. It is open and airy with higher ceilings, but strangely dark inside. Wine takes up most of the floor space, but step up towards the row of coolers and you'll get your beer fix. It is very comfortable in here.
Q-All of the beers are stored cold (except for the random magnum or other large format bottle that sometimes shows up outside the cooler). The beer is almost all high-class stuff with a nice mix of imports from Belgium, Germany, Czech, Mexico, and a decent selection of craft from Colorado and elsewhere in the states. Mondo always seems to have something a little off the beaten path.
Ser-The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They don't pressure me when I just want to stare at the coolers for a while, but they will happily answer a question or find somebody in the store to answer a question if I have one.
Sel-The selection is not huge compared to places like Argonaut or Davidson's, but there is a good variety and, like I mentioned above, there is always something here that I don't see at other stores. The import selection is solid, in particular. Bombers and 750s are a little light, but the smaller selection is full of good beer. Mondo isn't full-on craft; if you need a Coors Light, you can get that too.
V-Mondo is pricey compared to other stores. It is not exorbitant, but you'll pay a bit more here.
O-One of my favorite shops in town. Good vibe, good service, good beer.

Mondo Vino is my go to hidden gem in Denver. I actually feel dumb for telling you about it. But they are great over there and if it helps their business great! Beer selection is top notch and they keep it all COLD! Every beer in the place is in a cooler an it takes up the whole wall there. They get lots of things from Crooked Stave, Funkworks, RR, and every local Colorado Brewery. They also are the most helpful nice beer store people I have ever met. Every time I finally pick a beer they will come over and hold it at the register for me so I can keep looking. A very simple gesture that goes a long way. Mondo Vino is great local beer store. Oh and if you like wine apparently they have some there.

Rolled on over to Mondo Liquors, one of our first stops for our week in Denver. Really a nice place inside and out, great storage for the wine, tons of, well, nothing but refrigeration for the beer. All of it. I don't think there is any beer that is not refrigerated here.
Quality is very good, just all kinds of good stuff running the gamut of styles and places. Imports, locals etc. . .
Very helpful people there. Good chit chat. Amazing selection, there's tons of stuff. Some of the cooler stuff I picked up was Barrel Aged Boris, Consecration, Oud Floris, Victory BA Storm King, BA Ruffian etc. . . but it isn't just the bombers, they have good 4/6 packs, picked up some terribly, undated Specher dipa just because I was shocked to find it, I know its not particularly good.
Only downside was their prices are the highest in Denver from what I can tell. $13 for Oud Floris, found it for $10 at DaveCo.
Nonetheless, I still recommend you make the trip over and check this place out, lots and lots of stuff. Wine and spirits section nothing to sneeze at either.

Popped by Mondo Vino on a recent visit to Denver
Not the biggest selection in the world but lots of interesting offerings from Colorado craft brewers and further afield (Nogne, Mikkeller, various Belgian/German)
All beers are in a series of large fridge cabinets along the back wall
Seemed to hold a good selection of wines, but that wasn't what I was there for
The service was first rate
I was offered help immediately upon browsing the first fridge and I then asked for some reccomendations for eats and drinks in the area
I was pointed to Meade Station just a few doors up and the server offered to hold my beer in a fridge for me whilst I ate
We returned an hour later and I had another browse and again was helped immediately
This time a different server and he gave us more reccomendations for restaurants downtown and took the time to google them for specific addresses etc
First rate service, the guys knew their beer, highly reccomended!

Stopped by this store during a recent trip to Denver. This is basically a nice small liquor store in a really nice neighborhood outside of downtown. The shop was lad out nicely and very clean with a nice decor. It's pretty small but they had a nice selection of wines and a back wall with around ten coolers filled with beer.
The service at this place was pretty good. Two different employees approached me while browsing and were very helpful without being pushy.
The selection was decent with standard local six packs and bombers but they did have Woodcut #4, two Funkwerks bottles and a few nice imports. Small section but most beers are of high quality. Nothing is sold room temperature and it's a bit pricier than other stores in the area but it's worth checking out.

Mondo Vino is a clean, handsome little store on the main street of a neighborhood less than 10 minutes from downtown that features an array of stores and eating establishments. The place is nicely laid out, wines on racks spaced about the wooden floor, all the beer in coolers against the long back wall.
The selection was all quality and conveniently arranged by country/region. There were a couple coolers devoted to imports and euro stuff, but I was mostly after the locals, of which there were plenty to choose. Of course you won't find the massive range of stuff available at the big box liquor stores, but the somewhat compact selection was very well-chosen. My choices were RR Supplication and Consectration, Pliny the Elder, Dry Dock 7 Seas, and Upslope IPA.
Service was fantastic. The guys working were friendly and very knowledgeable about the product. They gave a recommendation for a great restaurant nearby and even offered to hold my beers in the cooler in the meantime.
Overall I really liked this store, definitely worth a short detour to check out.

I've visited this place twice in the past few months and both times were enjoyable experiences.
Mondo Vino, as the name suggests, is primarily a wine place. That said, their beer selection is broad and well balanced. A good selection of local/regional brews as well as west coast and imports. Even some nice surprises that I hadn't seen at any other store.
Atmosphere is really nice for a liquor store. Even though it's not one of the criteria listed for judging, I appreciate a clean, comfortable, and well-organized store.
The prices are reasonable but they aren't really trying to be the cheapest place to buy beer.
The best part, by far, is the service. It's one of the only stores I've ever been to where multiple people asked if they could help or made suggestions. They all seem knowledgeable and eager to assist.

Mondo Vino has been my go to liquor store for the past couple years and I couldn't be happier. Their selection is always great and their help is the best I have ever come across. All of their employees are well educated in their product and they always listen well. They have a great selection of bottles as well as six packs. If they don't have something, they have no problem ordering it for you.
They also have wine tasting on Friday and Saturday's. Typically, they have 4 affordable wines that are value inspired.

Visited on 4/28/09, probably the best store I visited in all of Colorado and Wyoming, the seventeen dollar bottles of La Folie helped that right along, located in a cool part of Denver about three miles from downtown back in a neighborhood, right across the street from a Chipotle, this was place was very close to our hotel, they had a huge selection including Ska, Boulder, Oskar Blues, Boulevard, Fort Collins, New Belgium, Dogfish Head, Port/Lost Abbey, Left Hand, several different Belgians I had never even seen or heard of before, and many more American craft brews, all were in nice fridges, probably about eight total, bought a good amount of beer, prices were pretty standard but some stuff was a little pricey, brought my dad back some Stranahan's bourbon and my mom a Colorado wine named Flying Monkey Emporium, place had a huge selection of liquor, guy working there was very helpful, knew all the answers to my annoying questions, even gave us free wine shippers to get all the alcohol back to California safely, very clean inside and nice fixtures, keep all their beer at the proper temperature, must stop here if you are visiting Colorado and do not have access to a lot of these beers where you are from, I will be going back here when I am in town, recommended

After reading the reviews of Mondo, I decided to stop by and check things out. The store is near my house, which is a big plus.
Don't let the name fool you. Yes, wine is their specialty, but beer doesn't get short changed. Along the west wall is a full row of coolers that's well stocked with everything they carry. You won't find warm bottles sitting out here.
Selection is hard to judge. Six-pack selection is nice, put not over the top great. It's in the 22oz and 750ml singles where things get interesting. If you're looking for many CO and US craft beers that are easy to find elsewhere, you honestly might not find them here. However, if you're in the mood to browse the coolers and pickup beers that you've never seen before, this is your place. It's almost as if someone from the store shopped the competition, and made sure to order things they didn't see at other stores. I grabbed a bottle of Belgoo Magus simply because I knew I'd never seen it anywhere else in the Denver area.
The staff here is very helpful; perhaps overly so if you like to be left alone while you shop. Even on a Sunday, they had four people working. The man that helped me was quite knowledgeable. He even went in the back and found their last bottle of Stone Self-Righteous for me. A very nice perk.
Prices are on par with other stores in the area. When I was there, all the singles (even La Folie!) were 15% off. I will definitely be back here in the future.

Stopped by on my walk as I just moved into the area. Thinking it was a wine shop I was surprised to the beer selection. Quite impressive, really. Bigger stores would have more, but this selection will do. The singles section is the key and provides good variety. Mostly domestic, but a good few imports....thankfully, no Kingfisher. Saw a couple of Golden City Brewery selections. I'll have to get me some.
Service was friendly and helpful. I popped in for recon and will now have to go back for purchasing. It was a bit pricey, but for the part of town it's in, not bad.

I stopped by this place in the highlands neighborhood just because I had heard some good things online. They had a decent selection of singles and sixers but nothing really mindblowing. I picked up some of the new Odell Red Ale and a Golden City Legendary Red. The selection was better than the average liquor store but if you want a crazy selection you have to go to Lukas or Total Beverage. I'd imagine that their focus is on wine but they get an e for effort on the beers. I will be checking back because I heard they would be receiving Consecration.

Been to Mondo Vino a few times. Overall, it's a very impressive establishment...for wine. The store specializes in wine and they have some very well versed staff members who know a hell of a lot about wine. I wish I could say the same about the beer selection. I'm not saying it's an afterthought for them, but on one of my visits I heard a misinformed beer buyer spewing off some serious BS to a customer. A customer asked about lambics and he mentioned Lindeman's and Liefman's, but didn't mention Cantillon....The beer selection is ok and you can tell that there is some enthusiasm behind the selection, but the selection is very limited. That being said, this may be your best bet for the Downtown area, unless you want to head south to Davidson's or head to Northern Colorado.

Nestled outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Denver, yet far from the highways and Big-Box shopping mega-plexes of the suburbs, Mondo Vino is perfectly located in the up-and-coming Highlands neighborhood. It occupies an impressive corner location among a variety of cool and eclectic small shops
Mondo Vino carries a very impressive array of imported and domestic beers, 6-packs and 22s. They seem to turn over their inventory often enough to have a good selection of seasonal and local brews. The staff is young, passionate and extremely helpful. In fact, I like to take my time shopping for beer and its not uncommon to be approached for help multiple times during a visit. The times I've asked for help or recommendations have erupted into small conversations with multiple employees.
Also, next door is the St Killian's Cheese Shop which carries cheeses and other artisan treats that will certainly compliment your purchses from Mondo Vino.
Definitely worth a trip and a great alternative to Argonaut for Denver residents interested in craft beer.

This place has it all. Great service from a knowledgeable staff and an amazing selection. You will definitely find your mainstream stuff but you can tell these guys get geeked out on import styles. Would recommend it to anyone who is really passionate about beer in the front range. They have a whole door dedicated to just belgian and french style bombers, as well as 2 more doors for everything in between. It's really nice to see a place that takes pride in what they sell, and will give you a strait up answer. If they think its not worth buying there gonna let you know. For the beginner beer enthusiast they direct you to great introductory styles. Also they order anything for you upon availability. I like the selection at some of the bigger stores but its nice to have people working with you that can help you weed out all the crap. They have an unbelievable selection of wine and spirits too. If you live anywhere in the front range, check this place out. I've yet to find a better place.

Stopped in last night after walking past on my way to dinner- I'm not from Denver, and I'm here for the GABF, but finding some beer to drink in the meantime was on my list of things to do. Rather surprised at the beer selection for what is primarily a wine store. Amazing bottle/bomber selection with everything from Moylan's to Cantillon to BA Yeti and Ruffian, all at very reasonable prices. As I was grinning like a moron at the fact they may well be the last liquor store to have Odell's Woodcut #1, the fellow who must be the beer buyer came up and struck up a conversation about what rare oddities he's had in the more recent days.
Very impressed, decent selection, great service. Will make a return trip next time I'm here.
