Poured from a bottle into a nonic glass. A hard pour produced a decent head. The color was a very dark brown, almost black. Both the smell and taste are great. A very good porter.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a deep, rich, mahogany highlighted brown coloring, with a foamy, low profile, clingy, light tan head. Aromas of roasted nut sweet, chocolate, subtle bitterness and earthy undertones, and cream highlights. Very balanced and rich nose. Flavors are rich and sweet forward, a blend of nut and cream, with a mocha backbone, some bittersweet chocolate highlights, and subtle earthy tones. Mild bodied, with a dry undertone, all very true to style. The aftertaste is more of the cream and nut sweetness, with hints of bitterness from the chocolate and coffee notes. The finish is light and dry, with a bitter and roasted linger. Very solid English Porter.

Beautiful chocolate black color with average head, tan in color and good sticky lacing. Aroma is malt forward with a hint of chocolate elements. Taste is rich in chocolate and coffee, nice balance between the two. Mouthfeel is excellent, chewy, chocolatey with the right amount of carbonation..One of the better beers I have had from this brewery !
