Visited April 10th while on business in Miami (what a great town). A simple neon "bar" sign over the entrance and a small sign with the pub's name on the front door were the only evidence a bar was within. Looked like a run down professional building of some kind. Narrow with only a few wooden bench style booths. Dark, creamy brown wood all about giving it a British pub feel. I bellied up to the bar and observed the suprisngly solid tap list (this is, after all, Florida). Kriek on tap was a pleasant suprise, particularly served in a goblet. I'm estimating there were about a dozen taps. Something in the order of 40 bottles plus three or four of Abbey's own brews on tap. Unibroue's Maudite also on tap. The business aquaintance I was with ordered the bar's own brew, an ipa, which was also served in proper glassware, ie imperial pint glass. Nice and efficient gent behind the bar. One of the locals was sipping from a nonic. He said he was a professional who worked nearby and said Abbey was the best around. After this experience, I couldn't agree more. A great find in an area not known for quality beer. Definitely worth the visit if you're looking for good brew. No food, so make this your pre and post-dinner stop.

we had such a good time in here, our first stop on an all day self guided miami brewery tour. they have been at it for a long time, and they make some great beers. tiny little space, room for no more than 50 probably, and that would be packed. it was mellow when we were there, a cool old wooden bar room, english pub feeling, no frills, beer drinkers beer place. impressive menu of house brewed beers and interesting guest bottles from all over the world, including some unexpected rarities. i was especially impressed with their belgian styles they make, the dubbel and the special quad were exceptional, but they were all very well done. the flight was generous but super aggressive, something like six ounce pours of each beer they brew, and a lot of them are super strong, so we got our buzz on early drinking through these. ambiance was cozy and relaxed, i like the dim lighting and the diverse clientele, it has a real old school feel. our service was kind and prompt, and prices were fair in here. what a little gem this place is! a cool contrast to all the pricey new shiny things in the area. looked like they stay open super late too which is cool for a beer spot. one of the surprise highlights of the trip, really dug what they have going on in here, and the beer is very very good.

As a bar, it was a nice change from the pretentious South Beach. As a craft beer bar, which is what I was looking for, it fell way short. Draught selection was poor. They had a lot of bottles, which I really didn't even get into, because I was looking for fresh draft beer. They have several house beers, but considering the name, I don't even think they brew anything themselves. I sampled a few of them and none were impressive. They only had about 10-12 lines, and the other options weren't great. It's just off the main strip which is Lincoln Rd. Nice location on a quiet block. Decent, friendly crowd. Moderately priced, but some were on the higher end. Some draughts were $12. St. Bernardus, I believe, and a few others. And that's for a goblet. My impression that the Abbey Brewing name is that it's a gimmick to lure in the craft beer crowd. But, to someone like myself, who considers him self an entry level aficionado, it was a let down.

Nice place on the beach, carries some nice beers on tap. Normally they serve some of their own beers, made for Abbey Brewing, as well as other beers. A beer bottle menu is also available, loaded with Belgian ales and some craft beer.

Also available, liquor.

If I would have written a review years ago when I learned of this place I would have described it as a go to tiny dive bar. Not much has changed, but they have had great success and have managed to expand quite a bit. The atmosphere is laid back, dim, yet quaint. It has a long wood bar as well as picnic tables to throw back your beer.
