Been in here a few times, so I thought it was time for a review.

Bar Louie is a very clean and modern bar with about 40 taps. Most of the beer are your typical offerings from BMC. I would say maybe 10 are craft taps. The first time I was in there I had a couple pints of Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, but from then on the best beer they had was Bell's Two Hearted, which is fine by me, but with 40 taps, you would think they would have a better selection. They do have another small bar outside, but nothing different from the inside bar.

The bartenders know very little about good beer, but a few of them aren't that bad to look at:) Prices average for the area, but still a bit high.

All in all, this is not a destination for good beer. But if you are out shopping at Gulf Coast Town Center and want to escape the hectic atmoshpere, then I guess this place would be ok.

My review is based off of selection in the Fort Myers/Estero/Bonita Springs area - or there lack of selction.

Atomosphere is pretty descent, nice style restaraunt. I like the woodwork. Bar is a thin U style with estimation of 50ish seats. Hightops, tables and nice booths are also in the restaraunt. Outside bar patio is facing courtyard to a centre that has live music some nights.

Craft beer selection is good for the area. We currently have no real brewpubs/beer bars/tap rooms. I know, sad right? Yeah...

Off the top of my head, selections include BMC of course, Blue Point Rastafa Rye, Drifter Pale Ale, Dale's Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Hazed and Infused, Mojo, etc. Basically they serve craft beer that you can find almost anywhere. Nothing special, but it is nice to have a bar in the area that at least has a descent selection of craft brews.

Food is good, Ive gotten multiple chicken sandwiches & burgers here and they are all really good!

If your dissapointed when you go here, just know that Ft Myers doesnt have anything much better to offer.

Bar Louie at Gulf Coast Town Center is a decent place to get a decent brew. For this area it's one of the best "beer bars" around. They have around 40 beers on tap but most are BMC. They did have some solid beers like Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Dale's Pale Ale and Hazed and Confused on tap. They used to have Cigar City beers but the bartender told me they got rid of them because they got too expensive. That's a shame. The food is solid, especially for bar food. Overall, I recommend trying it out in the afternoon when the crowd is light. It's a decent place to grab a sandwich and a few pints while out shopping.

Met up with an old friend (and fellow BA) at Bar Louie. I've been to the Edison Mall location (in Ft. Myers)a few times, and always appreciated that there were a few good beers on tap (which is hard to find around here!). The Gulf Coast Town Center is a much nicer location than the Edison Mall, and this version of the restaurant is more stylish. There were a few good selections on tap (including Mojo, Dale's, Sierra Nevada pale ale, and Cigar City brown ale). I had a Dale's and a Cigar City, both very nice. The steak sub I had for lunch was very good. The service was excellent, and the staff very personable. Overall, a nice time. Thanks again, Ron.

Overall this is a very decent place to visit and has enough good beer to satisfy even the snobby beer drinker like myself. Recently had Mojo IPA, Cigar City Maduro Brown, Chimay and Dales pale on Draught. Also have Anchor Steam, Sierra Nevada and others. The food is very good bar food. Great sandwiches, salads, and apps. Also great music on the weekends and happy hour everyday at 4:00 The staff is friendly and will let you sample beers if you want. Others reviews here are old and the beer menu has changed for the better.

I am reviewing this place of macros to warn off fellow beer lovers. Only macros are available, the A-B stuff. Its nice enough, its convenient enough, just off the highway. An outdoor covered bar with auto doors, that draws in the outside. In a strip mall, lots of parking possibilities. Then regular service, including more macro taps. If you find a craft, it will be beacause A-B bought it. Pleasant enough, but those who tell you to go need be ignored. If you are in Fort Myers, look for the brewpubs or go up the coast.

I stopped in while passing through Fort Meyers with my family.

Bar Louie is a nice restaurant with a modern, smart atmosphere. It's in a very impressive mall that seems to have one of everything including a great Bass Pro Shop across the street.

The number of taps is pretty impressive but the selection is not very good. They had 40+ on tap but most are mass produced beers such as BMC, PBR, Fosters, Guinness, Heineken, Bass, etc. But they did have a few worthwhile beers. I went with Dales Pale Ale and Boulder Beer Hazed & Infused. They were served a bit too cold but they seemed fresh. Other decent beers included Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Bell's Oberon. They also have bottles but they seemed to be all BMC.

The food was better than the beer. I enjoyed the Louie Burger and my son's BBQ wings were very good. The service was decent as well.

Bar Louie is great if you judge it by the alternatives in Florida but don't expect a beer bar that could compete in many other regions (on their beer anyway). Bar Louie is still probably worth a visit if you're in the area and want a fresh beer on tap.

Bar Louie at GCTC is a great place for happy hour they have 40 beers on tap....$2 during a 4-7 happy hour.. they always have the normal beers but have a good selection of imports and craft brews too... not much for a bottle selection though..just a typical bud bucket special..
weekends this place lights up with local college students from FGCU so there are plenty of people there..

There is also another bar louie on the ft. myers edison mall that is a little less crowded with friendlier bartenders.. same specials too..
Edison Mall bar louie offers a brewmaster club that gets you a t-shirt and some free food for finishing all 40 tap beers..

Located in the trendy Gulfcoast Towncenter of Estero, FL. The place is good sized with a bar inside and one outside. There are forty taps that for the area are the best selection you will find. No bottles of significants, only BMC, etc. They do serve liquor. They always seem to have a knowledgeable beer person on staff, but because of the bland taste likings in SWFL they don't go to far off the selection path. The lineup goes something like this: SNPA, Spaten Opitmator, Paulaner Hefe, Dogfish Head 60min, Purple Haze, Kona brews, a few more German selections and then SA Boston Lager and a seasonal, the rest are along those lines. Not top of the line high end micros, Belgians, or UK brews that you would love to see, but for SWFL they are cutting edge. The food is excellent and I've never had any problem with the service. Their happy hour (3-7 pm daily) is $2 any draft! In the evenings there are plenty of ass bunnies from Gulf Coast University running around, so know that at night this is a happening spot.
