Wow, avoid this place. The service was so-so. The atmosphere was like a family diner trying to be a sports bar. Or maybe a sports bar trying to be a family diner. My salad was terrible and the dressing tasted like it was rotten. My chicken pasta was equally bad. The chicken was quite raw in places and the pasta was under done. If you like Bud/Miller/Coors, they have it and the light versions in abundance. As for real beer, not so much. Local craft brews? None. I didn't even bother finishing my meal and went down the street for a burger, which is what I should have done instead of wasting an hour and $22 at this place.

Avoid at all cost. Anywhere is better than here. Get a six pack and McDonald's and sit in your car. Even that is better service, food, and vibe.

This is a chain restaurant folks...similar to Applebees or TGI Fridays. Yes it says Pensacola Ale House but it is the chain location for Miller's Ale House for Pensacola and not a local creation.
This is a sports bar extraordinaire. Do not expect much from here but a place full of testosterone and mostly BMC beers and big televisions playing nothing but sports.
The food taste and quality is a bit better than it's rivals, but still, there are so many better local places in town or even chains that have a real good selection of craft beers and some of Pensacola Bay Brewery's beer.

I'm from out of town and was just in the area shopping when I spotted "Pensacola Ale House" sign from the street. Since I was in need of lunch, I thought it was my lucky day. When I got closer and saw the complete sign said, "Miller's Pensacola Ale House," I felt some disappointment. That impression turned out to be correct.

The atmosphere, service and food were what you could get at any TGI Friday's or local sports bar. Safe and adequate, but not worth going out of your way for.

The beer selection was truly disappointing. There were 25-30 taps, but most were just variations on a theme of mass-produced American light lager. Bass, Sierra Nevada and Tucher were the wild and cutting edge standouts on the list, if that tells you anything. Luckily, they did have Magic Hat #9 on tap as their seasonal, so I gladly ordered and enjoyed that, although I made the classic mistake of forgetting to tell the waitress that I did NOT want an ice-cold frosted glass.

The bottled list was totally even more disappointing. Again, it was 25-30 selections, but again, it was almost all light lagers. Beck's and Red Stripe were their out on a limb selections. As a matter of fact, the bottle list was almost the same list as the tap list, but with even less variety. I'm totally baffled. Do they really find customers who are adamant that Bud Light Ice should only come from a tap vs. bottle, or vice versa?!?!?

So beer lover beware. This place is truly built on the philosophy that drives Miller Brewing--The safer and blander, the better!

I went here with some of my friends that are in the Air Force and are stationed in Pensacola. Everything about this place screamed average- the location, the sports bar atmosphere, the lack of a decent beer selection, the service, etc. The only thing on tap that I found to be worth having was Yuengling. The service was so so, it was sort of busy so it took awhile for the waitress to get back to us. The place was packed for Saturday college football, so we had to wait awhile to get a seat. The cheese fries appetizer were great, but then again I was starving when they arrived. My entree was typical sports bar food. Overall, it is a decent place to go to watch the game and get some food, but don't go here looking for anything unique on tap. I am not even sure why this is on BeerAdvocate.

As I was looking through the Pensacola Beer Fly on BA, I was a little surprised to see this place listed. I just had dinner here the other night with a group of friends and actually found it hard to find a micro craft beer.

This place is located in an area of shopping center and strip malls and is a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The place is pretty big and open, with TV hanging all over the place.

While there is an initially impressive array of taps, most of them are macros or macros forays into craft like Blue Moon or Stella. Maybe 5 beers from the smaller guys, really only Sweetwater and Lienenkugels.

Service left much to be desired. We had trouble getting our order taken, getting it delivered correctly, getting it billed correctly, and getting the bill settled.

Food was average at best, the same fare you will find at most chain restaurants. It did arrive hot though, I was handed a piping hot metal plate full of cheese fries with no warning and still have the burn mark to prove it.

If you are going out with a bunch of people and need ti find a place that has such a bland selection of food and beer that no one will be offended by any flavors, great place. If you are looking for a cool little beer bar that has great food, don't come here, head downtown.
