A big place and no one in it. They had some outdoor seating and I think that is where everyone wanted to be. They did have Great Lakes Dortmunder on tap here, so I was a bit happier. Again, like most bartenders here on this island, I am bothering you, sorry. Although, he did tell me that he was sorry for not being more attentive. Got an appetizer here, spinach dip, ok, kind of standard. Drank a Sam Adams summer here too, and the bartender gave us some free Sam Adams Glasses to make up for being a good server (and I didn't complain). Ok, but nothing to stand out for me.

As stated below, PIB is definitely a party atmosphere on the weekends. I blame the crappy beer selection in most bars on this fact. At night the strip that has about 10 bars on it is packed with people and loud music. I went to all of them, and by far my favorite place of the weekend was Odd Fellows. It is a pretty typical chill bar with a couple TVs and arcades and plenty of seating. The funny thing was that my friends and I were about the only people in the place while bars 30 yards away were filled to capacity. I'm not sure why Odd Fellows was the only empty bar, but I like it that way. There were only 4 beers on tap (I had Bluegrass's Bourbon Barrel Stout- best beer I had on the island) but there were plenty of different bottles in the cooler. This town has plenty of party bars, but if you just want to relax and have a good brew I'd recommend Odd Fellows.

We spent a weekend on Put-In-Bay. It's definitely a party atmosphere, and was surprisingly difficult to come across good beer. We stopped earlier at the Put-In-Bay Brewery and were very disappointed. We saw a Great Lakes Brewery sign in the window of Odd Fellows and figured we might be able to find something besides BMC or terrible microbrew.

What a nice selection. The draft tower wasn't too impressive (the only thing I remember is Magic Hat #9), but the bottle list was great. Our group had a sample of the Great Lakes brews (we were on Lake Erie afterall), and I had a Bell's Left Coast. Other selections included Unibroue, lots of Bells and other Michigan brews, and at least 40 other quality craft brew selections.

The atmosphere was OK (I thought it was a little too bright), and the service wasn't anything to write home about.

The best part-- $4 a bottle. When a can of BL goes for $5.50 on the island, this was awesome! If we ever go back, I will be sure to make the trip.
