Tasted this beer recently on draught at my local JDW pub, East End London. It's one of the "Autumn Beer Festival" beers, and a very interesting one indeed, for it's brewed in conjuction with the head brewer of the famous Brooklyn Brewery in NY!

A: in a straight pint glass it pours a dark orangey-golden hue, very thick frothy head sustaining pretty well; low carbonated.
S: intensely fruity--grapefruit zest, orange (blossom), richly hoppy (strong hints of US hop varieties) on top of moderate take of pale malts, just like several American pale ales I've tried, so aromatic and fruity.
T: rich, "warmish" fruity hops (grapefruit zest again)--the zestiness is balanced with a flowery scent, backed by a semi-rich and slightly oily hoppyness, bittersweet and a little tannic on the sides of the tongue, lending weight to a mildly spicy and tangy bitterness which lingers well towards the finish.
M&D: ultra-smooth on the palate, without much influence of fizz. Overall the weight on the tongue is quite balanced vis-a-vis the flavour. A good combo of US hoppy ales and English "Best Bitter" ideas, but still a bit lack of complexity and out of place apart from the considerable hop characters. Worth trying for sure.

Pours a slighlty cloudy orangy amber with a quickly subsiding off-white head.

Quite a bland aroma compared to other beers by this brewer - hints of a hoppy fruity note with a little coaly smoke.

Taste is hoppy and gingery with a little lime to follow, ending with a smoky and chilli aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is good but the drinkability is average - after a mere half pint you can feel the effects on your stomach.
